Good lord...

Sephiroth is quite literally THE EASIEST boss in FF history.  I kill him in two turns!  At about level 60 or so he becomes a complete pushover.  In fact, I didn't even know he had his "destroy the galaxy with a five minute animation" move until I saw it on youtube - he never even got close to using it.

Of the PS+ generation, Ultimecia and Necron are BY FAR the hardest.  They are the only ones that can still kill you even if you are maxed totally out.

Omega Weapon in FFVIII followed by Ozma in FFIX may be the "toughest" bosses period, but keep in mind I don't have the PAL version of FFX (Dark Aeons + Penance).  Also, beating Trema for the first time in X-2 is really difficult (though granted I didn't have the Mascot job yet and I don't recall whether or not you can have it at that point).

Kingdom Hearts team is doing FF VERSUS XIII.

A "regular" FF team is handling FF XIII proper.

Btw, S-E has also registered a patent for the name "Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII"

Haeresis = heresy... not sure what to make of it (maybe it will surface later?)

Because the comparisons always become inevitable....

Ninja Gaiden isn't half the game DMC3 is.  They're both games about ass-kicking action, and in that regard, Dante and Vergil are >>> Ryu.  The combo system and action in general is much more rewarding as well.  In fact, the only thing better about Ninja Gaiden is its graphics.

Maybe Greg was just copying IGN, anyway, whose review pretty much reads:

"DMC3: SE does everything better than the original, and to reward these improvements, we're lowering the score .6 points... you can thank us later!"

I had a good feeling it would not outscore the original. Remakes usually don't score higher than the original - though they can still score well.sonicare

How often do you see a remake/special edition that scores LOWER SOLELY BY THE FACT THAT IT SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSED THE REVIEWERS BIGGEST COMPLAINT ABOUT THE ORIGINAL??

Then said reviewer goes on to lament that "reward" that the difficulty of the previous installment provided... which, of course, was conveniently left out of his original review... because apparently he sucks at the game so how would he know anyway.

This is truly groundbreaking stuff.

Grek Kasavin is an intellectually dishonest hack.  There is no two ways about it.

GregK:  DMC3 is too hard.  I can't get past the starter levels.  They should have made it easier!!!  No AAA for you!

GregK:  DMC3SE is too easy.  The challenge is reduced so the game feels worthless!!!  The difficulty of the original version (that I reduced the score for because of it made me cry) made more rewarding(!!!!).  Lower AA!!!

This is actually pretty hilarious.

FFIX

FFVI is broadly considered the best in the series (only VII gets more mentions)... don't understand how that could be misconstrued as underrated.

FFVII is the only overrated FF.

It is a VERY GOOD GAME, don't get me wrong, but it is nowhere near the best game ever, namely because it isn't even in the top three FF games ever.
