Well for lots of people it was the first FF they have ever played, and you know when the first game you play is realli fun you just seems to like it more than the new ones. I just realli liked the character and the plot of the whole thing, kinda shows a bit about how the government is controlling things you know. But mostly the characters, i like how Cloud is just cool, Tifa is so worried, Barret is an ass and so on.

The thing is that some of the opinions that I trust the least is the opinions of "fanatics" that seems to think that they are the only people with a valid opinion on their favourite game ( or whatever they are fanatical about ) even though they often not even say why as if it wasn't needed to be explained.

I am not saying that any one here is a real fanatic, maybe semi fanatics though some of you ( I don't hate semi fanatics but I am tired of them.

I can't say that FFVII isn't quite complex but it is not more complex than some of the other FF games, the reason to that it is more discussed is that it seems to be liked by more people.

Yeh i like FFX a lot aswell, the graphics were amazing the game play was realli good, i like the sphere grid, i think that it realli rivalled FFVII.

FFVII is the only overrated FF.

It is a VERY GOOD GAME, don't get me wrong, but it is nowhere near the best game ever, namely because it isn't even in the top three FF games ever.

That is your opinion, just cause you dont think it is the best FF, it doesent mean it isnt, or judt cause I think it is the best ever, doesnt mean it is either. But I really dont think any of the final fatasy games are overated.

I say FFX it just didnt seem to be so good to me, I mean FFVII was reat, great storyline, and so was FFVIII, but FFX didnt look so great to me.

FFVII may be overrated. I personally think it deserves it's cred, it certainly does live up to the hype.

I think FFTA was overrated. It was a fun and good game, don't get me wrong. But I had a serious problem with it's storyline. I hated it, that's my problem with it. It's a fun system, but an RPG is separate from strategy games, or board games, or adventure games, in my opinion, because of it's compelling story, which I think FFTA didn't have a good one of.

FFVII is my favorite game of all time, but that doesn't mean the people who hate it are wrong. They just have an opinion, and everyone is entitled to having one. As I was going through this board, all I saw was people quoting other people and complaining. (Funny seeing up to 7 quotes in a single reply XD)

i just didn't find that game too appealing to me

There are some fan forums for FFVII that give fans of the game a bad name... the ones where you can post saying you'd rate the game a 9.4 out of 10 and get flammed bigtime.
