@SciFiCat The last time I've ever seen that concept put to use actually was with IS creating Warioware: DIY which had SO MUCH POTENTIAL if it weren't just simply limited by the fact the online sharing was... crap... It also took a pretty decent hit in potential with the extremely basic levels of 'coding' the game walks you through to learn.(though of course they have to limit themselves somewhere since too much complexity would create an even greater learning curve)

I won't lie that I really enjoyed what DIY attempted, but I agree I'd absolutely love to see IS bring Mario Paint back to life, possibly using DIY's more robust music creator. Judging by sales for DIY, it just doesn't seem like a possibility considering Nintendo dumped over 70% of the new IPs and concepts they introduced with the DS and just haven't seem to do anything to really experiment anymore. As much as I enjoyed Fire Emblem(and to a lesser extent, Sticker Star), I really want to see IS do something like they did with DIY, whether it be on 3DS or Wii U...(I'd also be really excited if they simply announced a new Advance Wars really...)

@bledsoe45sbc From my history of knowledge on the PC, That's exactly what's happened, especially during the whole Ubisoft 'Always On DRM' fiasco starting with Assassin's Creed 2. It's pretty ironic when a pirate has a more functional game than that of the legitimate buyers...

@Altazen @Ultramarinus I suppose I can back his comment up with this one since this did cause massive backlash with Sony a couple weeks ago. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2013/0007892.html Whether it means Sony is serious about it or just brainstorming ideas is one thing, but the fact it exists means it's at least being considered.

Plus as a mention of your latter comment, GameStop threatened to refuse copies of Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D over the fact that it doesn't allow you a means to erase save data(they still did anyways...) and had also shown heavy annoyance to the whole online pass system rolled out by a few publishing companies.(including Sony, especially notable with the original retail release of DC Universe Online) Being unable to play used games on another console is essentially the same as being unable to resell a digital game since nobody but the purchaser of the new product can ever play the game.

@shadowhunter0 @SDBusDriver1979 Technically there would be two with the inclusion of Ragnarok Odyssey, which actually has released already. Still, I can't help but feel uneasy what the publisher has to say about Bioshock on the Vita if sales for the system don't pick up to safe expectations(for them). Would definitely love to see something new and ambitious for the system.

@Evanrocknuma The funny thing is that Square Enix HAS been selling their entire catalog of games on their own online store in physical format even to this day. I know they used to sell physical copies of PS1 games before since I had bought a copy of Chrono Cross about two years ago, though that decision might have been made when they had released the games digitally onto the PSN store.

@sirkibble2 If it's what I'm predicting to be true, they're not just releasing the classic version of FFIII, but rather the 3D version they have already optimized for the iOS platforms. It's the only thing I can imagine at the moment considering that Square does have a tendency to port certain versions of the Final Fantasy series across Smart phones and this is an Android powered device.(PSP version of FFI & FFII, DS version of FFIII)

@Auronvolgar http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Speed-Wheel/dp/B0050SY0L2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341257688&sr=8-1&keywords=360+wheel

Don't know the logic to your point honestly when you bring Microsoft into the mix, considering even this thing is cheaper and is a standalone controller(does not need the Kinect) in comparison to that clunky Move peripheral.

@brkdwnxx Knowing the trend of Microsoft and their business models, ask Valve about how the free Left4Dead updates were.
