@chikahiro94 I'm not sure about the the "casual" market pushing the ps1 and ps2 sales. However, you have to admit that the Wii's dominance this generation was just based on its price.
The ps3 is sold at lower price than Xbox with kinect but is being outsold. Kinect is marketed for the "casual" market. Games like star wars kinect and dance central outsell most of the ps3 exclusives.
Lets face it, out of the three, Sony seems to be the only one focusing on the "Hardcore"games but Microsoft's kinect continues to outsell them.The facts are clear, the "casual" market is the way to go.
The reality is that the "hardcore gamers" are no longer the prime focus of video game companies anymore. The success of "casual" games like Star Wars Kinect and Angry Birds shows that companies can make more money focusing on the "casual" crowd than the "hardcore". If Sony wants to turn a profit then they have to give up on the "hardcore gamers" and focus on the "casual" crowd like Nintendo and Microsoft have. It's as simple as that.
@HonorOfGod Just because you own the system doesn't make your remarks unbiased or "honest". Your remarks stinks of a biasness. This idea that nobody is is allowed to copy an idea and try and improve on it just pisses me off. If Sony likes to copy Nintendo so much you might as well sell your ps3, that's assuming you actually have one, and stick to Nintendo systems since their so perfect. simple as that. I for one am looking forward to this game and seeing how they alter Mario Kart formula.
@HELL1ZH3RE Don't you know that the video game industry is immune from being persecuted for their stance on the used item market. The fact is, the automobile and book industry can survive just fine with a used market. They've been doing so for the past few years. Its not like any of those industries were ever or will ever be threatened by a financial collapse. The video game industry however is in dire need of funds. Just look at the sales of Fifa12, Mass effect 3 and MW3.I mean they barely turned sold enough units to turn a profit. The publishers are barely making any money out of these franchises let alone the producers. It is our job...no OUR RESPONSIBILITY as gamers to support this struggling industry. It don' mind going broke as long as EA, Activision, UBisoft and all the other noble gaming giants survive.
