i bought this game after enjoying the demo. I can say that its an excellent game.It may not be in the same league as its console brethren, but its definitely better than this review gives it. I give i an 8.0.
I sorta understand where Tom is coming from (wow that felt weird). MoH's main selling point is providing an authentic military experience yet they also claim to be entertaining. The truth is, like Tom pointed out, war is not entertaining. MoH can not expect to have their cake and eat it too. Either it is authentic or it is entertaining.
I couldn't care less about the "artistic growth of the medium". I payed for the product and thus have every right to criticize it if it failed to meet my expectation.
@digitdan If you know anything about Sony you'd know that They tend to do a good job of supporting their systems years after their release. Its 2012 yet their stilling making games for the PS2, PSP and even the PS1
It was an excellent decision by Crystal Dynamics to go dark on Tomb Raider. This was one of the reasons why Uncharted 3 suffered so much. By the time the game finally released they'd shown atleast half the game already.
As sad as the news of hundreds of people losing their jobs, missing about two months worth of pay and being stuck with mortgage payments may sound, the one good news from it all for gamers is that the game should be making its way to the bargain bins pretty soon.
@jsmoke03 You sure its just me? Because i'm yet to read a video game article featuring one of these two with out a considerable amount of people bashing both companies.
Both parties will settle before this thing goes to trial. Zampella and West will get a big fat check and Activision will continue to make crappy games. Everyone is happy,......well, except for gamers.
