All games must use kinect? Please no. I actively seek out games that have kinect to remove them from my purchase list already, please don't make me choose another console because of that.

This is the worse of the 10 steps mentioned.

- "One-Stop Box" : No need. I already have an ipad, an android tablet, and an android phone, I have what I need. And my laptop is connected to my TV by HDMI cables to stream what I need. This is a useless feature that would increase the price of the box. Just do games.

- "Set the Lowest Bar High" : Agreed.

- "Embrace Blu-ray" : Why not. We need more storage capacity on the discs, I already have plenty of bluray readers though (laptop/ps3 and probably PS4).

- "Steam for Consoles". Why not, I'd still purchase my games on discs most likely, since there are great deals to be found on the net. But it would certainly help the indie crowd.

- "The New Gold Account" That needs to die. Or just keep it but remove the need od it for MP (that's an insult to players) and for temporary exclus on demos (lame). I don't care for the other services, they are not offered in my country and yet, they'd like me to pay the same price as in the USA (actually it's more expensive here).

-"A New Game Franchise" obviously.

- "Exclusive Bonus Content" No. All content should be avilable to all players. Retailer exclus, or console exclus (on multi platform games) is bad. I hate to have to choose between different content and be blocked from the rest.

- "Mobility Matters" This is already done very well on androids with an hdmi port. or on laptops. No need for this. As if I would resume a movie on my consoles by using some obscure interface, when all I have to do is plug in my tablet/laptop to my tv and be done with this.

- "Kinect crap". No, no and no.

I am not even surprised, Bobby Kotik is just crazzy, selfish and greedy to the extreme, and doesn't give a shit about his employees, the players, and the games he is making.

It's all about money, nothing else matters, and I mean NOTHING, and I don't mean it in the "good kind of way" other companies go about this (like EA, and Ubisoft with abusive DLC content, and insulting DRM protections as their most evil deeds). If he could add in the license agreement of his games that Activision is allowed to harvest its customers' organs for free, then he would.

Withholding those salaries for so long... shameful.

Anyway 42 millions is a lot, and since Activision is giving it out of their "own will", it's most likely less than what they really owe them... But still 42 millions for 40 peoples? How long did those devs not get paid? Oo

@Gelugon_baat I disagree.

Twitter is not made to comunicate solely with the media. It can be, but it also has other uses, tweets with friends, fans, co workers...

As such, it should have the same standards as something you might say in public... There are things directed at the media and things not.

Just picking up on the first controversial thing said to make it news is pathetic and is not journalism.

Someone's opinion said on a 30 letters post is not news. News woud be to contact the person, and ask if he has any official comment on it.

Just stalking some harsh words out of someone's twitter and making is front page news is pathetic.

This is a bad article because it tries to defend this. And OH STRANGE... The writter of this article is the one that wrotte the bad peice of work reporting on what Notch said in the first place... Now I wonder why he is attacking Notch in this article?

Nah, the press reporting twiter quote is not doing it's job.

That's just petty pathetic work. Kinda like the paparazzi stalking celebrities.

It's just pathetic.

I could say there different kind of quote. Just like there are different kind of pictures.

Those the subject is posing for/writting meant for the media. And those the media stalk out of them. But well, I guess video games world is turning as pathetic and disturbing as the actor/singer world, where everything single word can be shared to the world, where paparazzi are waiting for every wrong move you make, and even your wardrobe is subject to critics.

This is a bad article.

Haha, I thought I'd be shocked. But this is actually hilarious. The game isn't taking itself seriously, so I'm all for it. And some of those "remake" songs are awesome :p.

Do we NEED it? Technology makes itself available and then we use it !! We can't "need" something that doesn't exist ! YES we need it. And it better come soon, graphical progress has been SLOW this last few years.

Something that laura parker keeps saying that annoys me. When a product is mass produced and sold in the market everywhere. There is no "artistic integrity". it becomes a product and business. Anyway, from the way Bioware said things, they won't modify the endings. Cant the author of this article and the people being quoted understand this? They'll add events, and dialogs, and perhaps choices on top of what is available to please the fans. To get a better idea of what's going on. Oh and finally, if enough player wants change, then the yshould get change. No integrity is in play here. They work for their clients, if the clients don't like it they can complain, if they don't listen to the complaints they loose fans and futur customers. No clients is holding a gun to their head saying "Change it !". What bioware fears is futur loss of revenue trigerred by the loss of fans. Or the people saying that "this situation is sad" are they actually saying that people should still buy futur Bioware products even if they don't like them? What's sad, is people like THOSE, criticizing the fans action, being around. Shame on you. Ps : Who wins if the end is changed? The player wins. Which should be the MOST IMPORTANT THING for a website like Gamespot, which apparently it is not. The players gets more info on what's going on and more satisfaction than the little amount they got. The devs wins. They prove that they are listening to their fans. That they can be trusted, and that they were not trying to pull a fast one on their fans. Who looses? Stupid websites doing stupid articles like this one trying to defend what's going on with faulty arguments and quoting people that are part of the reason this controversy was born. We'll remember that when players wanted something. You guys weren't by the players. And no what you are doing is not a service for us.
