This is disturbing. I love the battlefield series but please don't dumb it down and start milking it like the COD series and AC series. I rather see new titles being registered than [X] game 1-20.

A perfect example for why we are not ready for always-online gaming. I wasn't able to connect to battlefield 3 yesterday for hours because of this DDoS attack and it was already frustrating enough.

Even if Virtual Gaming becomes a success, I can only imagine myself doing it rarely, if not occasionally. For the everyday gaming, I'd rather stick with keyboard/mouse and gamepads.

Finally, I can get back to shooting peas at zombies with metal buckets on their heads.

It's great to see people smiling and laughing, people who suffered from depression. Great piece of journalism, Danny!

@CalamityKait I agree, studies have only shown a correlational link, but no definite cause or effect to deem games cause violence.

To add to that, having played videogames (violent ones too) since I was a kid, I can confidently say I am not desensitized at all because of this. I still am disturbed when I hear of violent acts in real life and even more disturbed when I see them myself. Videogames are still not realistic to blur the line between fictional violence and real life violence.

Does TV cause violence? No. Do movies cause violence? No. Do books cause violence? No. But videogames? People start nodding and even think about banning videogames as a whole.

Why? Because we are a minority compared to the movie-watchers and book-readers. This is nothing but pure discrimination and the same as blaming a whole religion or race just because a few homicidal idiots decided to kill people.

Yes and gamers are always ready to be crapped on by game publishers.

If you want to stop piracy, then start by promoting and making proper games that are worth their price instead of punishing the loyal consumers hoping to hurt pirates. It doesn't take a lot of common sense to understand that, does it?
