@cream_pie_1989 He actually seems like a South Park fan but his job as a reviewer is to put aside his personal preferences and give an unbiased review, and in that he did a good job, the review is clear and if the game lacks in the gameplay department ( which it does since it's a very light RPG experience) then it should be penalized... writing and presentation are not everything that make a game enjoyable and gameplay is a major concern (as most gamers tend to point out and then hypocritically ignore it because they like a particular game as such),in that regard a 7 seems like a very adequate score... people need to look at this score as not a score for South Park Fans and as a score for the general public, probably most South Park fans would have given it a score on the 8-10 range, still, that was not VanOrd's job.
@kron1664 a reboot? most FF games stand on their own so a reboot is not going to really solve anything, what it needs is new people on the helm of the series...
@fredyellowone XIII was not that bad, a bit more linear than usual (until some point) but it was decent enough... and XIV was remade and it's actually good now...
@spckJ As long as FF keeps having an identity crysis of trying to stay true to it's jrpg roots while becoming gradually more western friendly it will continue to perform poorly, they need new people on the helm of the series, people who value the classics and want to try and go back to how good the series once was... but that requires ambition, knowledge of what worked in the past and the "know how" to transpose those mechanics and elements and adapt them to our days.
@anshanlord VanOrd never reviewed a COD game i think so... besides if you don't like his reviews then see others, there is plenty of reviewers out there xD
