The first videogame that I remember playing was UFO on the Magnavox Odyssey 2 console. Yep, I'm officially old.

@ztron370 Really really hoping for Coop bot mode similar to the awesome (and classic) Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942. I still play it with friends.. its still fun but the graphics are quite ugly by today's standards. Its fun to put 40+ bots on one team and a few live players on the other then go nuts defending flags!!

I very much enjoy nearly all of the Nintendo's first party titles (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, DK) and buy their hardware specifically to play those offerings. Since we're at the beginning of the Wii U console's life, there's no doubt that we'll get some new offerings such as Super Mario Galaxy Universe, Metroid Prime 4, Mario Kart U, etc. We already know that a new Zelda is in the works. I would buy Nintendo hardware for Zelda alone! When you look at the hundreds of thousands of posts in MiiVerse, you can see that those that have bought a Wii U are extremely happy with it. There's something about Nintendo's originality and mood created by their titles that are unlike anything else. As with any new console, it just needs time to grow up.

@supermoc10 Totally!! If I buy a Wii U for no other reason than to play new iterations of Zelda, Mario, and Metroid in HD then it will be money well spent! I have owned every (non-portable) console Nintendo has released specifically because I love their first-party IPs. With the launch of the Wii, I decided to have one of the "other" consoles (Xbox 360) along with Nintendo's. The Wii is used only for first party Nintendo titles while the Xbox is for everything else. It will likely be the same with the Wii U. Nintendo is a staple in our household. :)

I got it on launch and am still very much enjoying it on a near daily basis. From launch I rolled three characters: A demon hunter for solo play, a wizard to play with a buddy, and a warrior to play with my wife. My demon hunter is at level 38 on act I nightmare and the challenge has pleasantly ramped up. Normal was a tad too easy in my opinion. After playing both I and II, my only initial disappointment (other than the server debacle at launch) was the skill system. I've actually grown to like the "loadout" system with the ability to re-spec on-the-fly according to the current battle. The fact that there are only a limited number of slots for many skills means tons of variation and because you need to reach the level cap to unlock all of the skills it gives incentive to continue playing. I plan on playing the game for many months and possibly years to come. Hopefully Blizzard will release some expansions and continue to develop and improve the game further. I haven't messed with the auction house much but only because I haven't really gotten drops that I find worth selling. Instead, I tend to stash rares for use with my other toons.
