That is no excuse. There were more than two candidates on the ballot. I didn't want to vote for Hillary either, so I didn't. But I definitely wasn't voting for someone who was clearly an imbecile-but that didn't stop other imbeciles from going down that road.
In the end, the technical specs may not be not that much different but my only problem with this story is that if the shoe were on the other foot, MS would be ramming those specs down Sony's and our throats .
Kojima is not naive or stupid, but I also do not think he is deceptive. I honestly don't think he would sacrifice creativity for the sake of sales and he probably is wanting to make his next game alot more controversial. He is simply using that fact to now promote the game, which I am fine with.
Personally, if MGS V is supposed to bridge the story between Peacewalker and MG1 at some point, Kojima probably wants to show that Big Boss had to do some things that shows that he could be "a bad guy". I am thinking that at some point you will have to fight either the US military or some other countries military but with no pretext that you are in the "right" for doing so. You sort of switch from playing the hero to playing the villian and having to take actions the villian takes- In MGS terms you switch from playing variations of Solid Snake and you now are going to have to play as Liquid.
