Although I'm a fan of the series, the MMO turn makes me worry a bit. We can only hope they know what they're doing with their brand.

They should rule out the "real money" thing. You collect gold in the game for a reason. In the previous games, you spend your money by gambling (D2) or those permanent stat potions (D1). Once you get to the unique items, you rarely buy something from the regular vendors. So spending your gold on the auction is a better idea than with real money.

People just LOVE to complain. But really, how can you take Duke Nukem seriously? We don't play these games just because it's fun to play, but because it's hilarious as well.
