I think this is the first time I've ever been happy ISP's are money grubbing and can't get their act together on expanding cheap, reliable high speed internet.

First, the allure of a new Star Wars game has lessened for me after the someone disappointing launch of TOR and the lack of a truly great game from Lucasarts since KoTOR 2 (some would say KoTOR 1). But I'm still a nerd at heart so I'm still going to get my hopes up.

Second, West and Zampella probably are "difficult to work with creative types." That doesn't mean you can screw them out of their creation, ownership of it, and profits to be made from it. The emails that the lawyer has shown obviously point to a pattern where Activision was planning on tossing them aside in favor making huge money on the Call of Duty franchise, but we don't know what emails their lawyer hasn't released will show.

If I had to make a bet I'd say that the judge/jury will spit the ownership of CoD between Activision and the former IW heads with a finding that the franchise wouldn't be what it is without both parties working together. IW created it, but Activision turned it into the license to print money that the franchise became. Of course that is all predicated on common sense prevailing in a court room.

@Protoporphyrin Thank you I've been trying to find that link, rather than re-research all of the info, for an hour now

@Noar_w I'd settle for filling in some of the blank spots, scenes missing, and absolute wtf moments of the ending as is.

@TomMcShea You seem to be ignoring the more cogent arguments that some on here are making that take specific aim at the promises BioWare made. Casey Hudson said that there would be very different ending because this was the end of Shepard's story and they didn't have to worry about gamers starting a sequel from roughly the same point. Additionally he said that plot threads would be wrapped up and questions would be answered without opening up more questions to be answered. What is wrong with gamers wanting to hold developers accountable for the promises they make in order to hype and sell games?

@ilikepandas Obviously I can't speak for everyone but I was lead to believe, by BioWare publicity, that the ending will wrap things up and that there won't be more questions than answers. I expected 16 - 17 actual endings not the same ending with 1 or 2 things tweaked each time, since the director of the game talked up the fact that it was the end of the series they didn't have to make sure the games ended about the same for everyone. Things like that.

@Velazkid ... Casey Hudson at one point said (and I am actually quoting, not paraphrasing) "The fans co-created the story..." and then went on to explain that they made some changes from the first game's to the second's story to accommodate things the fans wanted to see. Obviously the ending fiasco isn't something he probably had in mind but that is the danger of your words in the digital age.

It really just comes down to one thing, BioWare (specifically Casey Hudson) made a lot of promises about the ending of the series and didn't deliver. Now, they either rushed and wrote one of the worst endings ever. OR, and this would be even more egregious, they sold everyone a game they claimed would be the finale of the series and didn't include the true finale so they could sell DLC expansions including the real ending. Either way fill in the plot holes and/or deliver on the promises you made.

@Decessus You think there's a time locked file on the discs, some future free DLC/patch, or future paid DLC? If it is future paid DLC it would be about the lowest and most egregious use of it from a consumer standpoint.
