This game just came out at a bad time. I mean the resistance series has just been okay. They never really hooked me with the story or mo. It not a bad game by any means is just okay. For me gears of war 3 is the only game this month that I am hyped about. I don't care about Rage. The next month the runs of holiday games begin and go through Dec. I think they should have just realease this earlier or pushed it into 2012 sometime.
Even though Gamestop does rip you off kinda when you trade in a game and they sell if for double of what they gave you for it. But I still deal with them or Best Buy trade in shop because I already had two very bad experiences with selling stuff on ebay. On Ebay I sold a rare Micheal Jordan baskeball card and they guy NEVER sent the money for it. Then a few years later I try again and try to sell a Wii system I won. I wait for the person to send me the money this time and then I send the Wii System. The next day I found out the guy was a scam and all the emails I got from pay pal about him were fake. Some I would rather deal with gamestop than being completely ripped off like Ebay.
Yea is MS does'nt pic it up there will be very litte reason to own a 360. Hell at this momment for me the benefits of owning a 360 is slim. The only thing keeping e is xbox live and the friend and family on it, and two exclusives Gears and Halo. Thats it. I am glad a also own a ps3 because I would be pretty sad if I only owned an xbox at this point.
You can't get RROD with the slim xbox. It has a new system that shuts itself off when it gets to hot and when that happens you get a red dot in the middle of the power button. I have had my 360 slim for a year and I have had no problems with my 250 gb slim xbox. It hasn't over heated or anything.
If you like COD or Halo you are in no postion to bash Gears of War Period! Halo is one of the most overrated games ever and the main character is bland as dirt no personally at all. The story for halo is just a generic sci fi story space marine vs aliens etc. COD is a mixed bag. COD 4 and Black ops story was decent but MW 2 story was all over the place just random actions scenes with little to no story. As for MP I had a blast with the gears 3 beta its better than the noob campfest that is COD. People that hates gears mp are proabably kids who suck and are mad they can't camp or shoot noob tubes etc to get kills like they do in COD. Halo's mp is good can't really say much about it though reach was just okay not great. Unlike COD Gears and Halo mulitplayer require skill.
And yea I will admit Gears story is nothing mind blowing ( Gears 1 had little story) but Gears 2 and 3 seem to have greatly improved stories and the universe is pretty cool if you read any of the books and stuff.
PS3 exclusives deserve the hype they are for the most part awesome games. There are some duds like Socom Confrontation and Socom 4, MAG. Sony is doing alot better than MS in the exclusives department. MS is so arrogant now that they feel like they can just rehash the same four exclusives( Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable) and some kinect junk and they are golden. But hey if MS fanboys are happy with mulitplats and the same excusives every year thats them.
I own each console for different reasons. The PS3 For its awesome exclusives and the 360 because 90% of my friends game on that, and it doesn't hurt that the 360 has some great exclusives as well.
