I heard the SP in Rage is only about 15 hours. Gears 3 on the other hand has several game modes, and an 8+ hour campaign, which is good for a shooter if you ask me. And I haven't looked into Rage, so I don't know if it has MP or anything like that. I'd go with Gears of War 3, fanboy or not.
Rage for me, although at some point I'll play both,I might get gears of war 3 because of the online and how players move from game to game in this season.
edit: yeah I could use it, that and a new keyboard, this seems to have really small keys

I'll buy both cause I think they both look good, but I'll buy Gears of War 3 first cause I've played both 1, and 2 and I loved them so I'll buy this one before Rage.
Time doesn't matter I just want the better game. I understand that both aren't out yet.

Hard to say since both of them isn't out yet, personally, I'm looking foward to Rage more, not a big fan of the multiplayer stuff in Gears 3, so it comes down to single player and from what I have seen Rage peeks my intrest more.
I have already preordered Gears so thats a must for me, plus I LOVE horde mode and horde 2.0 looks awesome. I'll probably eventually pick up Rage but with all the other shooters coming out this year like BF3 I'll hold off til it drops in price.

Smart choice. Gears 3 is pretty much guaranteed to be good. Who knows what Rage is gonna play like, regardless of how good the vids look.

But Im getting Rage first. and Gears 3 if i can get some decent trade in value to get it cheap, or else ill wait till price drop too many other good games coming out at the same time.

Two completely different games and both should be great.
GOW3 will be badass and have more game modes, but Rage has the potential to be a truly amazing game. Forced to choose, I honestly think Rage will be a better title.Doesn't matter to me which one is 'better' becauseI'm buying both.
