@PyreofKoL: It's not exactly what you asked in terms of the age of the sprites but I think it should do anyways.

I don't mind the simplification as long as it's to a certain degree. Games need to strike the balance between being simple enough to enjoy but not so simple that they baby you the entire way through. I don't have the time I used to to sit down and play games so I tend to look to the simpler ones nowadays as it doesn't require me to learn as much about how to play the game in order for me to enjoy it. Time is also a big reason I love my iPhone so much; games like Tilt to Live and Angry Birds are not only a blast to play but they're simple yet challenging and I can play them in 5 minute bursts if need be.
