There is some poor soul out there who turned on his PS3 to play Heavy Rain, got this error, researched the error code...then turned on his 360 to play Mass Effect 2 and got the red ring of death. It happened somewhere...to someone tonight. That is the unluckiest person on earth. I thought not being able to play Heavy Rain was bad, but this is truly one of the saddest things I've heard. Why! The Genesis was the bomb before the Super NES came out. It took a bit, but by the time Street Fighter II came out I remember my Super NES getting most of the attention. If I had to pick between the two today, as in could only take one to a desert Island, I guess it'd have to be the SNES.
It's definitely fun to read your comments, I'll jump in and say I like the opinion of the three way tie. To the gentleman that keeps talking about how Carmack wasn't influenced by Miyamoto, you should pick up any of the books out there that describes what was one of the first things technical hurdles Carmack ever challenged himself with and then look at one ofhis first games, Commander Keen.
