@d-man: That's as cute as it is naive. It's not being "mean" as so many put it, it's just reality. If you ask for money to produce a quality product then quit half way through because it's too hard then you have no business labeling yourself as a professional or even a hopeful one. Criticism is in every medium, and often is more constructive than hurtful. It's all perspective. People on the internet can be harsh, but the simple solution to that is ignore it and keep going. If all it takes is the negativity of a few to bring one down then they didn't have a reliable foundation to begin with.

Doesn't want to deal with the drama, not skilled enough to make the game any better? This guy needs to grow up. Welcome to the real world where people can be mean, and you as a professional are expected to continuously advance your expertise and knowledge to further your craft. You want to be a developer? Suck it up and work harder. Sure the gaming industry is difficult and can be unfair, but that goes for just about any other career path. This is the age of excuses, sensitivity, and fear. Sack up or sit down.

@TwinStripeUK: That last part is the best comparison I've seen yet. There are moments, albeit brief, where I get stoked cause lets be honest, It's Star Wars!! But then I calm down and realize what a hollow experience it really is. Here's to hoping for a stronger release or some stellar updates down the road.

From one who played the first two extensively I just cannot get into it. I avoided trailers up till now to stop any expectations being made, and I only hoped for a more contemporary version of what once was. I cannot make a full opinion based on a beta, but so far the maps are very disappointing. Small, lack of variety in layout, no real choke points or good engagement locations. It just seems like a small area with some rocks to hide behind. The weapons all feel identical. The piloting is absolutely awful. Playing as a hero was fun but lacked the mystique it had in SWBFII. Survival seemed far too easy, even on the hardest difficulty available. It just plays like a quick cash in pumped up far too early to beat the release of the upcoming film. The only pros I can really come up with are it is beautiful to look at, and the sound design is top notch. I am optimistic that the full release will see a greater breath of fresh air with varied maps and more engaging gameplay via unlocks and heroes, but for the time this is no longer a day one purchase. Glad to see some are enjoying it, to all the others who are left in the rain, I feel your pain.

@breathnac It's not unrealistic, don't be ignorant. It's not hard to hold your breath underwater for two-three minutes with the proper exercises.

Stellar tribute. He will be greatly missed. I will never forget playing Rainbow Six for the first time with my father. Rest in Peace, sir.

Excellent video, Danny. I could really relate to a lot of what you mentioned. I used to stay up late and watch Westerns with my father as well, and though he never particularly liked video games, he went out and bought me a copy of Red Dead Redemption after seeing a trailer for it just so he could watch me play it on weekends. I'm so excited for GTAV, and I look forward to your next episode of The Point. Cheers.

@Godlikan This isn't even close to a "pay to win" business model. All that was stated is the item gives you increased xp gain. After leveling countless heroes, something like this isn't a bad idea for veteran players.

Though I do agree that other additions to the game over the past few years have really hurt WoW. I love my end game and pvp, but the whole leveling process feels so sloppy and rushed now.
