@stickybun: I don't know. I'd say he kicked plenty of ass in Ultron.
For this, though, when he was first injured, he mentioned that the weapons Thanos' cronies used made it incredibly difficult for him to heal. And then they attacked him a few times after that.
I'd go more if they didn't shove 3D and IMAX down my throat. I saw Ready Player One on Tuesday. The only showtime WITHOUT 3D and/or IMAX was 3:00 PM. My theater almost never has vanilla showings at 7 or 9 PM, so it makes it incredibly inconvenient to see a movie without the useless gimmicks that hurt my eyes or give me a headache.
@PrpleTrtleBuBum: I didn't say replace them with another actor for the same role. I said replace them with an existing character to take over the mantle, like Bucky or Falcon in Captain America's case. They've both held the mantle before.
@jasperwest: I can't remember the name, but he was in a comedy a few years ago where he played a self-centered, sexist jerk. He's an actor. There's no reason he wouldn't play the role.
I'm less sure a character like Duke would fly with modern audiences at all, honestly. He wasn't even a good or interesting character in the 90s.
