I would personally get an E8400/E8500 unless you do a lot of heavy multitasking. If you have a properly optimized PC and don't have a bunch of background programs running while you're playing games, I think an E8500 would be better for gaming, especially if you overclock it to 4+ Ghz. I would get a 1GB 4870 for a GPU if you can find a good price after rebate, I wouldn't want to have to deal with Crossfire. You could probably get a cheaper motherboard if you're trying to save money and don't need a lot of features. I would get a smaller monitor, either a good 19-inch or 22-inch (be wary that a lot of 22-inch monitors have poor color reproduction and viewing angles). Get a larger harddrive, you should be looking at at least 500GB.

I would of recomended a E8500 but he wanted a Quad

Will this setup be able to run any good game on the market like Bioshock Cysis Oblivion or Assasins Creed??

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz

A-DATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

2 Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire

9mmSpliff

That setup will be great for anygames. You will only not be able to max out Crysis @ 16x10, but at 12x10 you shoudl be able too

Thanks alot for all the help. I read that the Heatsink and fan that comes with theIntel Core 2 Duo E8500 is crappy. Is that true??
