[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"] I think GTAIV was a tremendous achievement, and much better than any of its predecessors. I'm glad they decided to focus on the bigger picture of making a gameworld that feels alive, rather than cramming in every feature they could possibly think of.

Thing is, I didn't really get any of that. Rockstar piled on the little touches, like the one I remember being mentioned in multiple reviews is how pedestrians will react to the rain, such as covering their heads with newspapers and run for cover. But I wouldn't have even noticed that in the game unless it had been mentioned and I had looked for it. All the little touches like that did nothing for me. I measure a game like GTA by how much I can do in it. How real the world is doesn't matter to me if I don't have stuff to do in it. I'd gladly take the content-laiden but less realistic world of San Andreas over the world of GTA IV.Oh man I loved that stuff, when they run during a rain storm while holding a book over there head. Or they are walking and answer a mobile cal, at the ATM, using a public phone booth. This is why I had problems with Crackdown, it could never match GTAIV when it came to a living city.
Compared to SA, while its sad to see some things go what about the social life aspect of the GTAIV, the mobile phone and Police missions. Didn't you find them a big improvement? Also now with added mini games (I only like pool to be honest), internet and TV didn't you find enough to do?
Character customisation scks compared to SA though.
