@ZedFragg: The fact that you're an "ex PC fanboy" doesn't help your arguments any at all. If PC gaming was dying then I don't think we'd be seeing major GPU and CPU advancements taking place. No question it's expensive to keep with everything new, but you clearly don't have to. All you have to do is find a level of performance you're happy with and you're problem is solved. If you need to have gaming be the best it could be on the PC, then one shouldn't be complaining (not saying you are). Regardless, seeing as how the Xbox 360 controller along with a Play & Charge Kit is more than this, it's not too bad that this is $55; however, one does not necessarily need to buy the Play & Charge Kit for the Xbox 360 controller either. Seeing as how the DualShock 3 has rumble and motion sensing and a built-in rechargeable battery all for $55, it's more of a value compared to any other system's controller. Still, controllers have become expensive...yet people still buy 'em.

@slayer1185: Yes the 9800GX2 will beat this card, but from what has been out there in the rumor mill and news is that it won't be by much. Not to mention the fact that the card will generate far more heat than the HD3870 X2. @bookgeek: No idea where to begin in critiquing your point, but it's not AMD/ATI that is using more power, it'll be nVIDIA with the 9800GX2. AMD/ATI are on a 55nm process whereas nVIDIA is on a 65nm process. Seems like a difference that doesn't matter, but in fact it does.

According to this review: "" So the card most certainly supports PCI-e 2.0. I don't see what this has to do with the bridge-chip. If they can get 2 HD3870s in CF on PCI-e 2.0 then clearly they can get PCI-e 2.0 here.

Well it sure as heck costs a lot less than two 8800GTX cards in SLi. :) Although I'm thinking this review needs to use NON-BETA drivers for Catalyst. @Lord_Asmodeus: Then you don't know how much cards in a SLi setup cost in total. It sure as heck will be more than $450. If you're comparing 8800GTs in SLi, it still costs me more if not the same and that depends on how much memory we're talking about. Various reviews and benchies out there haven't been consistent with drivers and setups (and really the drivers are key here) so that makes a big deal. A single 8800GT doesn't come very close to this card. Again, memory amount makes a difference here, but not enough to make a dent in the HD3870 X2. Also, in the GeForce 9-Series, only the 9800GX2 will directly compare to this card. If you want to start comparing SLi setups, then clearly you need to compare CF setups of this card as well to be consistent. Not to mention the 9800GX2 will at least be $450 if not more. Heck, even the 9800GTX will be close to this price point supposedly. You have to realize that and then look at the various price/performance ratios. Looking at all that, right now and for at least the foreseeable future, this card is king. However, that doesn't even consider the possibility that AMD/ATI could even lower the price of this card by the time the GeForce 9-Series comes out.

Hmm didn't think there was that much of a difference, but not bad. I still feel they could have pumped more out of the Xbox 360 system itself, but that's just me :)

I'm surprised there aren't more posts than this, heh. @lamprey263: This is true. While I prefer English over Gujarati (a major language in India, FYI), my cousin, while born here, doesn't. Not sure if Unholy_Smite is actually saying that people prefer English over another language if said people are multi-lingual, however I can see where his/her argument can be construed that way. @YukoAsho: I didn't actually think Madden was sold anywhere else besides say North America and possibly European countries and Australia. As for GameStop/EB Games, last I checked, they still had in their system (at least at my local store).

@Unholy_Smite: I'll only get started to say that: Yes, there only humanity. And as a species, not even a race. And it's not race, it's culture that makes us different. Other than that, everybody is the same. It's the extreme views that try to dominate and tend to screw things up. Anyway, I'm done with this; I already have 2 papers due next week (say hello to grad-school) and I need a break...Tecmo Bowl on the Wii VC is begging to be played. :D

@Unholy_Smite: True you have a point about what I said for Windows, but if I'm not mistaken, in Europe they have have one version has several language options; specifically for languages that are similar. I could be wrong about that however. As for Madden for Spanish speaking countries, I bet this will be released in those areas. If not, well EA should. That would be sheer economic brilliance on their part.
