And just so we're clear, from Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary: Racism Pronunciation: 'rA-"si-z&m also -"shi- Function: noun 1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race 2 : racial prejudice or discrimination Also from the Oxford Dictionary at AskOxford: noun: 1 the belief that there are characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to each race. 2 discrimination against or antagonism towards other races. DERIVATIVES: racist noun & adjective. Need I elaborate anymore? Plus don't get me started on how race is just human construct...trust me, you don't want me to :P :)

@Merodach and Unholy_Smite: Play nice you two :P @Merodach: Are you calling everybody racist? Let's not go that far if you are. I don't care if there is just a Spanish-version of Madden. Honestly, to me this seems to be the same as having the various language versions of Windows around the world. The issue isn't as cut and dry as everybody would like to make it. My concern, and I'm sure this is plenty of others' concern, is that eventually, certain things will require another language besides English. Case in point, while I have a working knowledge of Spanish and can understand some and speak some, I can't apply for a job as a mental health counselor because Spanish is required for the job. What the problem I have with that is the position's geography is such that I know for a fact that the are has a very small Spanish-speaking population. Basically, I'm denied a possible job because I am not very fluent in Spanish. It's not wrong to ask as to why shouldn't people who come to the US at least have a working knowledge of English when that is the predominant language used by far. When my parents came to the US from India, back then, they were not very fluent in English. What did they do? They learned the language. If they had to do so, then at least shouldn't other immigrants be asked to have at least a minimal working knowledge? If other "developed countries" can have a national language, have it be the predominant language to communicate, the argument of "why can't the US?" is valid. And to give a reason as to why countries have a national language? Simply put, to make communication that much easier and efficient. So let's not jump to making blanket statements saying people are racists just yet.

Is the market for Spanish-speaking people playing Madden that large that they need to do this? @talonkard044: To add to that, wouldn't it only be fair that if, say I went to Spain and/or Mexico (or any other predominantly Spanish-speaking country), that they have more things in English? Correct me if I'm wrong however, the US does not have an official language yes? Even still, don't around 90% of people in the US use English to communicate?

I don't understand why they only tested NVIDIA's lower GeForce 8-Series all of one or two times and using all of one or two conditions. With the number of people who may find these cards on the cheap either now (rebates for the win) or in the months to come, I'm surprised as to why those cards weren't tested. I know they're not so great, but people do own them.

Most of these games I don't own...considering they're mostly kids and sports games. And cheating part still feels wrong, hehe :)

So they tested this using a GeForce 6800 GS...talk about modest system spec requirements. Not bad :) With those requirements, having it on low quality makes it look like a C&C: Red Alert 2 and C&C: Generals hybrid of sorts (graphically speaking that is). Now I can force my buddy to get this cause he'll be able to run it without any issues. :D Then again, I wonder how it'll all look on a GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB :D

"InfectiousDust: Vista is hurtin for certain. Don't believe me? Read some of this: http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.html Vista was created for the benefit of Microsoft, the RIAA, and the MPAA, at the expense of the user. There's no way in hell I'm going to replace XP with Vista as my primary OS. " That's what I've been hearing long before Vista was released. Honestly, if this becomes a major issue, keep in mind the consumer drives the market, and if enough consumers decide this impedes their computer experience then M$ will have to change parts of Vista. Granted this may not hurt business users, but the home user is where this OS is directed towards it seems. So in the long run and perhaps even sooner rather than later, the market will fix itself in this regard and product will get better. Besides, XP will be around for a long enough while and enough people will still have it (which means enough updates for XP).
