For those wondering about the price, according to the IGN review, it takes 40-50 hours to complete the game and around 80-100 to complete everything. $40 seems reasonable for that amount of content if the puzzles don't get old. Catherine was a great puzzle game with a "full-price" and it had enough content to justify it (imo). I would find the "full-price" tag unreasonable for something like limbo or closure (although I loved those puzzle games).

How easy is it to target enemies on consoles? Is there an autolock and does it work well?

I have such a hard time with top down shooters (I couldn't get anywhere with the ps3 hotline miami) bc I couldn't hit anything, but can deal with hard games with good auto targeting/locking like dark souls.

1st mode sounds like a cross between AC and Dark Souls

@Dog12833 @PSNless @DiamondDM13 @demonkingx5 They rotate the deals out a good bit (I check about once a week). I am in the US and that for free is long gone. The nice thing is when you "buy" a free game, it's considered "purchased," so even though it's still not for free currently, I can still download it for free.

@DiamondDM13 @demonkingx5 I've gotten Spec Ops, Sleeping dogs, Infamous 2, The Cave, Battlefield 3, Xcom: enemy unknown, and Hitman absolution for free not to mention all the other discounts like mortal kombat for $5. That's been all in the last 3 or 4 mos. I don't know if PS+ has just gotten so good, since it's near the end of the console, but that $50 for a year was definitely well spent. If AC3 comes for free, that would be awesome! The only problem with PS+ is the constant managing of the system to make sure I have enough room to download, but I can definitely live with that!

I don't play a ton of mp shooters, but this is amazing! They finally created a mp where one guy can't dominate. If one great player turns a corner where 2 average players are, the great player will die. By slowing the movement down, showing where you are to the enemies when running, and not having jump or roll, it made the game way more tactical and tense. I have heard countless times from miked up people they would so much rather play this mp than cod.

To new players, just stick next to a teammate or 2 until you really get the hang of what's going on...than stick to a teammate or 2 from then on! Crafting perk is great in supply raid but not in survivors. Explosion expert is a must. Silenced weapons and bow rock (bow is 2 hit kill With reasonable fire rate, so don't get in a dog fight with someone with the bow).

The ending to this game was perfect. Joel tried so hard after Tess not to be attached to anyone (I feel he was since he went across the country on her dying word). He tried so hard to not feel for Ellie (scene in the cabin with tommy) to the extent where wanted Ellie to stop caring for him. By taking her the rest of the way instead of tommy he had accepted the fact that he would stop at nothing to not lose that connection. That is why he killed everyone to get her back in the lab. He would not bear to lose the attachment that he tried so hard not to have. If he didn't lie to her in the very end, it would be the craziest break in character ever. That ending would be terrible.

My only hope is at they leave it here. Do not make a dlc that tells what happens after or make a sequel with these characters. Leave it to the imagination!

I can't wait for this game! The quick travel is cool. I remember getting stuck on Smough and Ornstein the 1st playthru and pushing on just bc I didn't want to back-track out of Anor Londo. I really hope they don't go with enemies level up with you. The fact that combat gets so boring at around lvl 35 is the main complaint I have with Skyrim. I have confidence that they won't ruin this game (hopefully not misplaced). All I ask is please do not have Patches push me down another friggin hole!

Good read. I really enjoyed this article, but I am surprised Cormac McCarthy was on this list of inspirations. McCarthy's wording (not necessarily dialogue) is the reason why people should read him. It's crazy that his books get turned into movie (All the Pretty Horse, No country for old men, the road) bc there is no other author where the experience the reader gets is based more so on how he tells the story rather than the story itself. I'm not familiar with Bastion, but I can't imagine how that could be implemented in a game. It would be awesome if they could, though!

Definitely enjoyed it. Things I learned:

1. I need to go to internet.com.

2. Spec Ops isn't just another shooter with Nathan Drake's voice.

3. I need an Xbox for Spelunky.

4. Tom is right. Dark Souls and the Legend of Zelda. Yes. I thought he'd bring up Closure, though. That game's awesome, also.
