This is the Best Multiplayer game I've played since Metal Gear Online 2. People shied away from MGO because it was to hard. But damnit, it was the deepest ,best MP game I've ever played. The LOU mp is not quite as deep, but deep enough to be very fun and w worthwhile substitute since MGO has been taken offline.
I haven´t had the oportunity to play this game on multiplayer and this guide kind of give me an idea of what things can i expect also it looks kind of adictive
I'll still be playing my PS3 for several years to come. There are just too many good games still in my backlog.
Is there any advantages or disadvantages to being a hunter or a firefly or are they the same just with different skins?
The PS3 hacked made me upset but my hate wasn't toward Sony. It just annoyed me some hackers thought for some reason there was any reason to do so. This generation had too many stupid hackers trying to hack video game sites and such. Those people need to get a life or play more video games.
Go to http://gamebattles.majorleaguegaming.com/ps3/the-last-of-us/ladder/team/standings for competitive play!!!!!!!!!!!
Armor in this game is so cheap. I could spend 2 clips on a guy and get unlucky and hit only armor. total crap.
I was surprised by how much fun the MP was. I think this is the first MP I've actually gone back to play after the first go-around. MP usually isn't my thing. Unfortunately I'm terrible at it so I doubt I'll play it much.
Probably the most useful for all the people out there that wants to be a ninja is the covert training level 3, as you cannot be detected by listening while crouch moving, cannot be marked and you start off with a shiv/shank, as i have it in all my loadouts.
if you shoot someone down don´t execute him, wait for someone to come and revive him, then kill him too. if you have a molotov you can´t fail.
worst part is when you reach 125-130 pop, every game you play has to be frigging flawless, a couple of bad breaks and your teammates would get everything while you're waiting to spawn.
also, please, for the love of god, take away the replacements, i hate to get into a game that's already 10-18 against me when i need to somehow get 4k parts in 5 minutes, there is no way, incredibly unfair.
i recommend planning your objectives before starting a run, knowing what you're good at is very important, leave the easy ones like downs/downs with main weapon and executions for the last 4 weeks. you will need to not only get the objetive, but do great games to keep your population high. if you leave something easy like gifting things, you will clear the objetive, but not the parts requirement per game (just an example).
if you can kill 2 guys and they're going to kill you later, do it, you get tons of parts and create an opening for your teammates.
collector level 2 is a godsend if you don't need the help other skills provide.
hoard boosters for a future run when you can use almost one in every game so you set your record as high as possible.
and that's all i got. for single player (with teammates is more fun, but also you get less parts).
another important tip is that if you get downed by a enemy and you know where that enemy is at, crawl to cover so your teammates can revive you safely and not get killed by the enemy who took you down.
Listen mode is very valuable when flanking enemies.
Stick with your team (if they all split up, stay with 1 of them). And play cautiously, because sprinting is a masterclass in how to get shot.
Don't just plant your mines anywhere as they can make a valuable escape tool or can be used to hold a position.
Smoke bombs are under-rated - a stalemate can be solved by stunning them with the bomb and cover you whilst you stab/shoot/punch your way to glory.
Don't take on groups of enemies unless your a very good shot or have a team backing you up. In those cases its probably better to run and hopefully ambush or flank later.
Craft, spot and revive. All three give you a load of Parts which will tip the scales later in the game. Not to mention the items you get for crafting are crucial against enemies that are better shots than you.
I'd advice to execute enemies before reviving allies, because if an enemy sees you reviving, you're a sitting duck, both you and your ally are dead and they get to revive their ally.
Btw you don't always have to special execute and downed enemy.
these comments sound like a dateing add in the paper. i understand needing to find someone to play the game with. its just funny to me.
Maybe they would receive 3 copies. If this method was to be adopted by all reviewing sites, then it would work. Also, not all games take too long to review. Sure, this one took me nearly 24 hours to finish and not even played the MP. But then there are games like COD that the story can be done in 2 hours.
Looking for some people who talk, revive teammates, and play smart (don't run to revive me if I'm surrounded by enemies, it's suicide!!!!). Don't care about kill stealing, a win's a win, if you wanna use your ammo on my down I'm fine with that, saves my ammo. Add me if my style of play seems to work with yours. PSN name holtsta1134
I've been playing the multiplayer and I love it so much that I haven't played anything else for a while, but I do have one question: does buying stuff with your parts mid-match effect the amount of supplies that you gain at the end of the match?
The multiplayer is good, but it only has two modes.... and the matches seem to end pretty fast for me.
This video convinced me to buy this game. Chris, great matter-of-fact video. Thank you.
Although, do enemies have a chance of self-reviving when they are down? If so, I would also perform the execution before reviving my teammate.
@Mkeegs79 xbox live has been hacked multiple times. Just microsoft wont ever let you know about it. Also, they will just pay gamespot even more money to not ever mention it.
@bonander why would you blindly blast 2 clips on a guy? /Fail. This isn't COD, don't spray and pray. Make every shot count. If the guy has armor, use a 2x4 with a nail in it and bash his head in. In this game you have to be strategic. Plant a bomb, lure him into a trap and get him to step on it (that will blast off his armor).
Direct frontal assaults are generally a bad Idea. get the high ground, get them to pass you and shoot them in the back or shiv them. That's why I love this game, you have to be sneaky. Make a snipers nest and lace it with bombs.
Cover training 2 does the job.
USE crafter perk 3. Craft like crazy and give to team mates, you get loads of points for it, mixed with kills and marks you can hit 5k points per game.
@kabOOOm92 oh yes you can, i threw a molotov at a guy reviving another guy and he started shooting at me from the pool of flames, neither of them died. there aren't many glitches like that, but they happen (another one is trying to hit somebody with a crafted weapon and getting shot in the middle and it goes glitchy as hell).
I unlocked everything and now not that bothered because I have nothing to unlock. If your pulling your hair out trying to have flawless games to unlock that item and know you had a stinker (I know this is kinda cheating) turn off your comp and turn it back on. That round won't have gone through and you can start over.
@ken_wakashimazu I am currently playing this, and I have a population of 98 at the minute, I was just put in a game on a losing team with about 3 survivors left... I managed to get 3 downs and 2 executions and only about 30 daily supplies...
ITS FUCKING RIDICULOUS.
@Hugoboss0889 Unless they're keeping you alive as bait.
@FULGOREY2K I'd love it if they had weekly tournaments like MGO used to have.
@Quansword nope, all the supply that you earn will still be counted at the end of the match.
@Nengo_Flow The matches end pretty fast for you because you run and gun, get PWNED and refuse to learn that this isn't that type of game. I hate it when I have n00b teammates that run around, don't listen and dont stratgize. they are liabilities.
@Nengo_Flow Very rarely have I played a match that times out so the matches can be pretty fast, 15 minutes at max after all. I'm sure more game modes are incoming especially since Supply Raid & Survivors are both pretty fun and are still fun, although I can feel them getting a bit old as I've been playing A LOT of it since launch.
You didn't hit him with the molotov. Standing in the flames doesn't kill you instantly and if your not accurate with you crafted weapon you can fail.
@23Jarek23 i thought something more of MLG or WCG
