I don't know, but I would say about 150 if I were to guess.

I was thinking exactly the same thing on today's morning. The harvest of 1998 was really exceptional, and there's many more gems beyond the games commented: Grim Fandango and Fallout 2, there were also the solid Commandos and Shogo. 1999 was also an expressive year for the computer community: JA2, Outcast, Hidden & Dangerous, GTA 2, Legacy of Kain, Age of Empires 2 and Planescape. I think Homeworld was from 99, but I'm not sure right now.

It's depends heavely on where do you live. Outside US and some parts of Western Europe, just finding good old games is tricky, so let alone the cash part.

Believe or not it was Call Of Duty (yes, the first) in dial-up connection ten months ago. It was a very brief experience.

Maybe you are thinking about Hugo. There was an amiga version of the game and a more notorious version on DOS, but the game became really popular about 15 years ago after being available in arcades (including some tv shows).

All above, but the most is fallout 3 just to mention another overrated game.

What? Every once in a while I read some foolishness like this in the forums, I normally don't say anything, but this time this was too much. Any major computer brand have plenty of games to choose from. Mac is no exception.

Old beasts like the Amiga, the Commodore 64, the Amstrad and the Zx Spectrum have been gaming since at least the 80's. Apple was with them. I am sure that any one of them has more games released than any console in the market: no matter if it is the NES, SNES, Jaguar, Genesis, XBOX, XBOX 360, PlayStation 1,2 or 3 or anything. I can even assure that the Amiga, the Commodore 64 and the Mac have at least twice as much games then any console.

And about the quality of the games, well, anyone that knows a bit of computer history, knows that the Amiga and the MSX were considered gaming rigs at a time the IBM format was still seen as a business machine.

The are a few collections I have almost completed. Europa Universalis is the longest of them, actually I own Europa Universalis, Europa Universalis II, Europa Universalis II AGCEEP, Europa Universalis III Complete (contain the original game and two expansions), Europa Universalis III: Heir to the Throne and Europa Universalis Rome Gold (Rome + VV). Even if it's not complete, since I don't have Europa Universalis: Crown of the North and Europa Universalis II: Asia Chapters, I consider it almost a collection since I own nine of the eleven released titles.
