As a responce to Pete Merlin, pretty much if everyone pirated it I'd be happy. It'd show that a lot of people like my work, and if that was the case I would've achieved my aim in the first place, to make great music for everyone. And Mushroom, if you read the post you quoted you would have seen that the film companies make a profit anyway since I have already seen the film?
Look, let me put this into perspective. I have all 3 Extended Editions of Lord of the Rings on DVD, and recently the Blu-Ray came out. I'm planning on pirating it sometime. Why? The studio have already made about £150 of profit off me, actually MORE since I baught 2 of the theatrical versions on DVD as well, so why should I let them profit another £40-odd on a product which I've heard has shabby video quality, which ruins the whole point of Blu-Ray, and is also the theatrical editions, which is worse than the Extended Editions?
Another thing to put into perspective. I recently downloaded all 3 seasons of a show called Drawn Together, which was a great show but was cancelled 3 years ago. I ain't particularly proud of this pirate, though. Why? Because they have not released the DVD in the UK, so even though I would have purchased the box-set if I had the chance (espicially with the release of a straight-to-DVD movie which means if the sales are high we could see another Family Guy revival) I had no option but to pirate it to actually own a copy of the episodes of the show.
