I'm having trouble getting my 360 to recognize my external hard drive. It will recognize my flash drive when I plug it in, but not the external HD. Both are formatted to FAT32, so that shouldn't be the problem. I'm not sure what the deal is though. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it?

::edit:: apparently it won't recognize any external HD over 4gb, so I reformatted it again to 4gb and it has worked. Just in case anyone else has had this problem, you can use a program called Swissknife for free to format and partition your external HD to a smaller size so it can be recognized. It will also let you change the HD's filesystem from NTFS to FAT32 much quicker than can be done in the command prompt.

I headed over to Feros and the enemies are a bit easier, but my squad mates are still getting killed pretty easily. If I put them behind cover, then they won't take any action at all...they won't fire, won't use abilities, nothing. If I move them to another direction it's hard to get them to take cover again.

Oh okay, my mistake. I thought this was the planet that the scientist was on. I just wasn't sure why it was so difficult. In every fight I've been in since Eden Prime it seems like my shields get taken down really fast even if I am behind cover and my squad mates just die really quick. I am making sure that I send them to duck behind something and am trying to utilize their powers while I blast away at the enemies, but am still having trouble. I guess I'll head to Feros or something and try to do that and see if it is a little easier for me.

I borrowed Mass Effect (first one) from my friend and have been playing it. I'm about 11 hours into the game now and am on Sharjila looking for the scientist chick that Saren is after. When I head into the pirate base and through the first door, I immediately have my squad take cover (I'm using Wrex and Garrus). I make sure that they are behind something and then I have them use their abilities while I shoot at the pirates.

For some reason though, when the pirates run around the corner and I try to move my squad to another location, we all get wiped out in about all of three seconds. It doesn't matter if I use shield boost or anything like that, we still get raped. I've also had the problem of my team mates running into the middle of a group of enemies, even though I have told them to take cover. I'm not sure if this is something in the game, or if I'm too low of a level to be here, or maybe I just suck, but I'm about ready to return the game if I can't find some type of solution. I know the game is old so I thought maybe you guys might have some helpful advice.

Good suggestions. Although I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to play the game if it had vehicles. The vehicles in WaW were powerful but nothing that you couldn't destroy. Same for the ones in BC2.

I don't know how reliable this is, seeing as it's from wikipedia, but if this is true, it sounds pretty sweet.

"The game features new equipment for the series such as a scoped crossbow with different kinds of ammunition (e.g., explosive) and Dragon's Breath rounds for shotguns. It also has an early model of the Steyr AUG which is customizable. The player will be piloting aircraft: an SR-71 Blackbird guiding a squad on the ground and an attack helicopter. The dismemberment feature, showcased only in Call of Duty: World at War, can be seen in the teaser trailer.

Little is known about multiplayer: vehicles will return, as well as dedicated servers for the PC version unlike Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2.It will feature a "Create-a-Class 2.0" allowing appearance customization alongside perks. Killstreaks will not count towards each other (while stacking and carrying over after deaths). Black Ops' multiplayer designer also stated there will be no nukes or game-ending killstreaks. The cooperative mode will have a separate campaign."

Sounds pretty decent to me. I know a lot of people out there didn't like MW2, but I really enjoyed it, despite it's shortcomings. Taking out the ridiculous things like chopper gunner and AC-130 that can win a game for a team, even if they are really far behind, would be a good improvement. I think they should focus more on the actual skill of the player rather than having people camp in a corner, get their killstreaks, then rely on them to help them win the game. World at War was a really great game, and could have been just as good as MW2 in terms of gameplay, but I think Treyarch did themselves in going back to the WW2 settings.

Exploring this timeline, which seems to be in the late 70's or early 80's (The Steyr AUG shown in the trailer didn't come out until 1978 ) will be a refreshing addition to the series. WWII is run into the ground, and although I really like the modern stuff as well, this new timeline brings something new to the table once again.

So what are your thoughts? It's still too early to make any real valid predictions on how the final game will be, but judging from what we know so far, what do you think they should add or take away from the final version of the game?

Okay, so here's the deal. I've tried pretty much everything out there to try and get my Xbox to have an open NAT, but haven't had any luck. I've called Xbox live technical support three times, ****** twice, and both times I get people somewhere overseas I can barely understand who don't seem to have a clue what they're talking about. I'm hoping someone on here may have had this problem and has been able to sort it out so they can help me. First off I'll tell you how I've got everything set up.

I've got my modem connected to a ****** G Wireless router (model # F5D7234-4 v5 if that helps any), which in turn has an ethernet cable running from the router to the back of my Xbox, so I have a wired connection. My computer is in the other room, and I use a USB wireless adapter to connect to the internet on it.

I know that the ports need to be opened in order to have an open NAT. I also read that assigning your 360 a static IP address helps. So, I went to network settings on my Xbox and assigned it a static IP address. I then logged onto my router and opened all the ports it said to open (TCP 80, UDP 88, TCP & UDP 3074, and TCP & UDP 53). I then restarted the router and modem and my Xbox. When I connected everything back and was back on the internet, I turned my 360 back on and tested the connection. I wasn't able to log on to the internet. So I went to my DNS settings and put my primary as 192.168.2.1, which was what it said under ipconfig when I typed it into the command prompt. I retried it. Now, it let me connect to Xbox Live, but it still said that I had a strict NAT setting.

So, I went back onto the router and tried to put my Xbox in the DMZ. Now, I couldn't even connect to the internet. I tried cabling straight from the modem to the Xbox and this didn't work either. So basically, I've tried every option out there and nothing has worked. My router's firmware is updated to the newest version as well.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help is really appreciated.

Well I'm finally breaking down and going to "the dark side" as my buds like to call it and getting a 360. I still love my PS3 and the 360 won't replace it, but it will be nice to be able to play online with my friends and have the two best systems out there so I can play the exclusives for both. I'm buying the Elite bundle that comes with both Forza 3 and Halo: ODST. I just was wondering what an accurate estimate on the failure rate of 360's is now. I'm still going to get one regardless, but I was just curious on what my chances are of getting a unit that will fail. Anyway, any input is appreciated.

SPOILERS BELOW

I was wondering about the cutscene entitled "Mostly Professional". When Chloe knocks on the door and Nate answers it, he's obvioulsy aggravated at her for something. This cutscene is before Flynn betrays Drake, so I wasn't sure exactly what it was that he was mad at her about. Can someone help clarify this for me?

I'm not sure what that pure white tendency is. I'm on Boletarian Palace and like I said, I just ran past the same area a few times before deciding to fight the guy that was there. When he killed me and I tried to go back, it was just gone. What do I have to do to get this pure white tendency?
