[QUOTE="OBLOK"]

[QUOTE="l4dak47"] First of all, DADT is getting repaealed (finally, too), and second of all didn't Obama promise to elminate the Patriot act. Also, how exactly is 2 wars elminating rights and freedoms? Finally, all the rights and freedoms mentioned in the Constuition, for the most part, has been upheld for more than 200 years. Pretty damn impressive. If you think the U.S. is bad, you need to get a reality check. Go look at the real bad countries, Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, China, etc. Why is Assange not focusing on these guys? l4dak47

First, yes, finally, second, yes he promised but instead did the complete opposite, third, 2 wars = massive debt = Americans gotta pay for it = less freedom, you can compare the US to "real bad countrires" all you wan't, but try and compare the US to the actual MEANING of the word "free country" instead of comparing it to "lesser free'er" countries, because that argument is damn terrible. We are more free because that country is less free, no, just no.

Also, Assange is focusing on other countries, maybee you too need to inform yourself more.

Assange is not focusing on other nations. Yes, other countries have been mentioned indirectly. However, The main target for Assange is clearly the U.S., and that's just idiotic.

Why is it idiotic? maybee the guy is limited by the information that is given to him, maybee the guy has a grudge, what really matters though is not Assange, but the compromising info, instead of asking, what does Assange have against the U.S government, i'll be asking what does the U.S government (not people) have against democracy?

[QUOTE="SF_KiLLaMaN"] Actually, I think it is YOU who doesn't know what terrorist means. A terrorist is anybody that causes fear, or terror, in other people. By causing fear in the U.S, Assange is, in turn, a terrorist.

Assange is causing the government to fear him, because the people are starting the realize the tyranny of the government.

[QUOTE="Tetrarch9"] So you promote the releasing of secret documents key to US Security, Even though you live here? And it could possibly endanger your own life.

Tetrarch9

Look, the amount of money spent on war could have been spent on research for cancer, aids etc..you're just paranoid, how about you and your kind, kindly and with respect, shut up, and stop drilling peoples mind with the terrorist! terrorist! mantra? thank you.

How did we get to the money spent on war. Im not paranoid. And Im not drilling anybody with terrorist mantra....

I just find it odd that testfactor supports all of this. Some of thepapers assange hasreleasedaren't damaging at all. But we are fightinga war and now is not a good time for information the U.S goverment deems as 'Secret' to be released. or anytime for that matter.

I understand that you are concerned with peoples well being, however, i can't help but notice the hypocrisy, these estimates are just guesses but i'll use them to get my point across, 4000 people die per year due to terrorist attacks, whereas 3 million die of cancer, and 2 miliion of aids and i'm not including things such as people being denied basic health care etc.., wikileaks is essential to understand that the current form of government does not work and is a totall failure at preventing human casualties and deaths, and infact does the complete opposite, 1 trillion spent on war, 3000 dead American soldiers. I am talking about the Iraq and Afgan diaries btw if you care to investigate.

If you think Assagne and Wikileaks' goals are as noble as transparency and "the right to know", then you are as naive as a 6 year old taking candy from strangers.

Even Stevie Wonder can see they have a darker ulterior motive.

KhanBloodsucker

Uh huh just like when obama said that his administration will stand by transparency and enforce it, Julian is just doing what the president said he was going to do.

I think wikileaks is a threat to the government, not the people. The people are starting to realize that they are getting royally screwed over by the government, and the government is starting to panic, keep going wikileaks.
