@TheOnlyConan @NovakainePuNK I have a PC, actually. It's a decent rig. 8gb of video ram, 8 processors and an HD6870. And you're right. The perks are incredible... lol. The Steam sales are orgasmic!

Well, damn. I've loved my 360, but that persistent connection requirement is it for me. Can't do it. The fact that they want to so closely monitor something you have to pay $500 for is just pathetic and paranoid on their part. Playstation 4 is 100% surely my next console.

The truth is... it's dumb to even compare it to games. Not because it sucks or is better or whatever, but because it's just an app. That's it. I never have heard of anybody even calling it a game aside from the gaming industry (Why? I don't know), and also from people who say its a game only to argue that its a crappy game. To be honest I wouldn't call it a game either. Obviously, gaming (Xbox, PS3) is growing at a much faster rate than any facebook application, aside from Facebook itself, of course. But to reiterate, you got your apps one one side and your real gaming on the other. Comparing them only causes unwinnable arguments.

I play both... I never spend money on social games, but as the name implies, its fun with friends who are not gamers. (Hardcore gamers just sounds stupid, calm down.) It won't be the future of gaming, because there is not much else you can do with it; but it is the now of socializing, plain and simply put. There is nothing wrong with social games, whether or not they're money hungry, everyone here says the same thing about add-ons and special items from the Xbox/PS3 Marketplace... Everyone needs to calm down with the whole "I'm too bad*** for social gaming thing."
