@R3NeGaDeAnGeL Yeah, but perhaps it's more fluid now, before it always felt kind of... rigid when trying to get on a ladder and climb it.

@jhmm @TheSkyrimStatue he was talking about the editor, who really should have known better, considering writing is his job... but mistakes do happen, doesn't mean we can't poke fun at him for his mistake though ;p

@nickpeck36 @northArrow That's how the new generation is today though, always "I want it now and exactly the way I want it, if not I get mad and rage on the internet" etc etc. I for one am waiting to see what the developers are going to bring to BOTH systems before making any decisions. After all, Microsoft and Sony don't "build" even half the games for their system themselves, they depend on third-parties for that.

@nickpeck36 @northArrow It's the problem with the new generation of kids, they learned no patience, just "I want it now, and make sure you give it to me the way I want 'cuz I'm entitled to it" etc etc. I for one am on a wait and see vigil right now, both systems have potential, but I want developers to announce their games first before I make any decisions.

@CRAPCOM1926 @Inferi-Fang and why should they? they aren't ready to announce it yet, Sony didn't comment on any of the speculation about its console, and most of those negative rumors about it turned out to be false

All I could think throughout this entire article was... Tom McShea has forever ruined Phoenix Wright's face for me :p

ok, don't get me wrong, love Minecraft, but why is it news EVERY single time it hits a new sales milestone? It's honestly getting old seeing these articles, that and I seriously think GS keeps running out of things to talk about ha!

@zyxe

I agree on that, but does the video series have as large a following as GS? Not really sure, but I'd wager the answer is no. This was a great opportunity to improve the number of viewers and to ensure the message reached more people, but I feel GS's article wasted that potential. And lastly, there's my point, the ultimate way to go about all of this is to find a compromise that steps on as few people's toes as possible. When that happens, then a real, lasting change will occur.

I'm not disagreeing with you, and adapting further dimensions to characters wasn't my concept either, the issue I had with the article itself was the lack of a counterpoint that allows for a more thorough education and awareness of the issue. The proof of this point lies within many of the comments here. Many are misunderstanding because the article focuses on ONLY one side of the issue without raising any further speculation of how the opposing side thinks. Rather it merely showed contempt for anyone on the other side of the fence. This doesn't help put the point in the center of the article, it merely creates a vacuum of misinformed people who then make one bad situation worse, "sigh"... I'm rambling now and my thoughts are becoming incoherent... guess I'll just leave it at that, it's merely food for thought

@zyxe You've missed my point entirely then, as I didn't imply that freedoms would be taken away, I merely stated that there is no counterpoint and any counterpoint given is deemed sexist. I completely support more female friendly options, but at the same time, why should one person lose his/her idol just because one person or a group feels offended by the overly abudent sexuality to the character's design? As such, for those who feel offended, they could be given the option for a more female friendly design, while anyone who enjoyed the previous norm could enjoy it their way. Take Dragon Age 2 for example, you can make an outlandishly sexual adventure out of it, or keep it more serious and thought-provoked. The options are there. What this article suggests is that characters such as Lara Croft (just an example) should be altered to be more female friendly which I agree with, but takes away the iconic version.
