Let's see, I got...

  • The Ball
  • Borderlands GOTY
  • F.E.A.R. Complete Pack
  • Greed Corp
  • Hitman: Blood Money
  • Indie Future Pack (Uplink, Hacker Evolution, Twin Sector, Hammerfight, System Protocol One)
  • Indigo Prophecy
  • The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
  • Overlord Complete Pack (Gifted by a friend)
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Bundle
  • Super Meat Boy
  • The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Total damage: ~$69. Overall, I think this year's sale was solid. Bought some stuff that I've been eyeballing for a long time now. Mainly, I've been toying around with Super Meat Boy and Borderlands, both of which have exceeded my expectations. Between the Steam sales and the GOG.com holiday sales, I think I've bought enough games to last me for a long, long time (heck, I still have games from 2009's holiday sale that I need to finish).

Heh, pretty funny video. It pretty much sums up my reaction at that part as well.

I finished this game about two days ago, and decided to write a blog on here about a few of my experiences from the game (I wouldn't recommend reading it if you haven't completed the game, since most of the stuff I talk about is very close to end-game). Needless to say, I completely hated the second half of the game - not because it was bad, but because it was so ****ing scary compared to how mild it was at the beginning areas. It's like the fright levels grew at an exponential rate as the game went on.

Of the ones you listed, Dead Space 2 and maybe FFXIV. I tried doing the open beta for FFXIV on my laptop, but it can't run it very well, so I'd have to wait for the PS3 version.

Other than the aforementioned, I'm also looking forward to Vanquish, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and Deux Ex: Human Revolution.

Well, I actually hopped on my PS3 and tried adding the remaining $5 from there. Surprisingly, it worked, whereas doing it online didn't. Weird stuff, if you ask me.

Oh well. I have DeathSpank now, so I'm happy.

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone's had the specific problem I'm having.

I wanted to put some funds in my wallet so I could buy DeathSpank, and I'm doing it through the Qriocity website online. I put in my credit card information, and it was accepted just fine. However, when adding funds, the only amounts available to add were $5, $10, $25, and higher. Because I'm a little tight on money, I didn't want to do the $25 option. So, I decided to add $10, and was going to follow up with the extra $5 to pay for DeathSpank. I was able to add the $10 just fine, but now it's telling me my credit card is invalid when I try to add the extra $5. My card doesn't expire until 2011, so that can't be the problem.

So, how in the world does a card go from being valid to invalid in less than a minute? Any possible solution? Or should I just wait until later to try?

Well, I tried cleaning the vents, and I backed up my files and tried reformatting and such. Sadly, it's still messing up pretty badly.

So I'm going to be sending it to Best Buy. I got the Geek Squad "Black Tie" 2-year warranty when I bought my PS3 back in January, so I'm gonna turn it over to them, and they'll see if it can be repaired. If not, then they'll give me a replacement PS3.

Hey guys, I've been experiencing trouble with my PS3 for the past couple of days, so I'm hoping you guys might know what to do.

I have a 120GB PS3 (fat model), and I've only owned it for about 5 months - brought it brand new from Best Buy in January. Well, within the past 4 days or so, just about every function of the PS3 has slowed down VERY significantly:

It takes it a lot longer to boot up.
The XBM takes a hell of a lot longer to show up after booting up.
Signing into the PSN is taking a lot longer - a good 30-45 seconds. I have cable internet, so usually signing in is almost instantaneous.
Whenever I put a game or DVD in, it takes the PS3 literally about a full minute to pick it up and show it on the XBM.
Even games are affected by it - for example, it takes about 10 seconds for my guns and inventory to load in RDR, and about 10-15 seconds to execute a command (such as getting on a horse, skinning an animal, etc).

I've been using my PS3 routinely, and I don't think I've done anything that could've harmed it. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the HDD, but I'm not quite an expert on this kind of stuff. Anyone know what might be happening? Is there anything I can do to fix it, or do I have to send it in to get it repaired/replaced?

Already played Portal on my brother's copy of the Orange Box for the PS3. But hell, I can't turn down a free game, even if I have already played it. :D

I've heard a lot of good things about Deus Ex. However, I've never played a Deus Ex game before, but I have a feeling that's probably gonna change today. :P
