Another for the 598.  And I'll second the Magni.

Even though the weight of the package automatically makes it oversize, dimensions do need to be taken into account. UPS takes every opportunity to make money off you. $100 for a package that heavy doesn't seem that far out of line for ground shipping. One thing to consider is whether or not it would be less exspensive to divide the shipment into two smaller, lighter packages and avoid any oversize fees. Also, insuring the package would be a very good idea, but unfortunately that will add to the cost as well. I receive packages at work every day that have been beaten to ****.

I'm sorry, but what is this nonsense about the larger screen having a worse image? The screen size has nothing to do with image quality. Image quality is dependent on the quality of the source that is being fed to the display. Garbage in ... garbage out, as the saying goes.

I have 3 of the RC LCRs accross the front and and a pair of RC10s in the rear. I can't speak for you room, but my setup sounds best with the speakers set to small and the crossover set to 80 Hz.

Sounds like you don't know what you're doing. A man who doesn't know what he's doing combined with an expensive television is just disaster waiting to happen. I recommend you start a thread over at AVS Forums - they have an entire forum section dedicated to calibration. If you want to do this, do it right, and seek the advice of experts, likely none of which who post here.KHAndAnime

Good advice, though I'd wager that he's already been to avs. That's more than likely where he picked up the name D-Nice. He is a highly respected display calibrator.

[QUOTE="Gamefan1986"]

OK just a quick update on my problem, everything else hooked up to my receiver such as my 360 and cable box works fine, picture and video, however everything else I have hooked up as 2 chains such as 360 to TV via HDMI, and 360 to receiver via Optical.

However, I am trying to run the bluray through 2 things, IE: 1 chain - Player to receiver via HDMI, and receiver to TV via HDMI.

Something that didnt occur to me before is one of the HDMIs in this chain is like 5 years old, meaning its not High-Speed (Category 2) like the other one is. So i bought another one. Unfortunately I am still getting the same problem with 2 Radioshack brand High-Speed HDMI cables.

Both cableswork fine when hooked directly to the TV, and I don't think it is the ports because I already exchanged the receiver for a new one once already and this is still happening.

I think I am down to 2 options, either get higher quality (more expensive) HDMI cables and try that, or buy a new Blu-Ray player with 2 HDMI ports and use both to hook into the receiver and the TV separately, again, making it 2 separate chains of connections, instead of the one I have going on now.

I would just use optical, but as I said previously the whole reason I bought this new receiver in the first place was so i can watch my movies with high def audio, so HDMI needs to be used.

Bold = hell to the no. Don't fall for marketing BS. There are also no blu-ray players with 2 HDMI ports. Just exchange the player and if it doesn't work after that, get an HDMI cable from monoprice.com. I recommend MP because they're perfectly priced, they actually do update their cables to the latest revision, and built extremely well. I've never had a problem with them.
