@Netret0120: Why do people think $600 is to much for a console? The PS3 launched in 2006 the PS5 will launch in 2020. Gaming consoles are not going to stay under $400 forever. People pay $700 on shitty phones that are worthless in 3 years why not pay $600 for a gaming console that you will use for 7 years?

Most people that buy their phones get them on contract and rarely pay full price for them.

You have to buy consoles at full price and PS3's price point is not too long ago that people have forgotten about how it significantly hurt its sales at the beginning.

I think a $500 price point is reasonable either way but I'm not sure about the general public. I'd be willing to pay $600 for premium hardware that will last close to a decade ( I bought a PS3 at launch with no qualms) but i am in the minority.

As long as the price point is below $500, Sony wins next-gen again.

I hope they learnt from their mistake with $599 E3 2005 fiasco.

$400 for the base PS5 and $500-550 for the PS5 Pro is a good entry point. Couple that with a Sony Exclusive at launch (Horizon Zero Dawn 2?) and you are off to the races.

Seriously, the offline campaign feels so realistic I truly feel like I am playing online with others.

From my AI teammates rushing over to enemies that will one shot them, to trying to be the nice guy and revive them to only get killed yourself, and to the point where I’m dying on the ground while my AI teammate just stands over me doing nothing. I am surprised they didn’t have the voice actors record some high pitched laughter and yo mama jokes to really add to the experience.

Thanks for this, Microsoft. You are a true blessing to the gaming industry, as always.

Seems more like a blog post but great for you then.

Gaming is about having fun and you obviously are. I disagree with you but that is why gaming is so amazing. We all have different tastes and hence lots of different games to choose from which is always a good thing.

I'm currently playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and i'm having a blast.

@boxrekt: The original is the full game. The remake roughly translates to a third...

https://www.finalfantasyunion.com/news/3176/final-fantasy-vii-remake-series-compared-to-final-fantasy-xiii-trilogy/

"Each iteration of the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a fully fleshed out game"

It is impossible for people NOT to compare the orginal FF7 to this remake. The title really should be "FF7 Remake Part 1" in this case.

This means that the Midgar section of the game should last roughly 20-30 hours for the main story seeing as that's roughly the length of FF games recently.

This could go either way. It could make the story better (New Soldier from trailer. Get to know Avalanche members better etc) or it could be forced padding which just makes the game longer but doesn't really do much.

To answer the question, Cyberpunk 2077 will likely be a better game if it is anything like the witcher 3, you have a guaranteed 100-200 hours of content and this is without the inevitable DLC packages which could add an extra 50 hours on top.....for free.

The home videogame industry is about 47 years old even though the game of space war was created in the 1950's but very few people could play it.

It was only in 1977 That Atari era made Videogames popular with the general population. 1972 to 1977 was the proof of concept generation. In 1983 it all came crashing down

So for people who are still in their teens and younger. The videogame industry is old.

But compared to music, Movies, books, Television, sports, live theater, radio and magazines These forms of entertainment are way older than the Videogame industry/universe. So in that sense Video games are young

Well Said.

Couldn't have said it better.

The Witcher 3 Game of The Year Edition

I had played many RPG games before this so I thought I knew what to expect coming into this but boy was I wrong.

The fact my choices actually mattered and how deep the side missions went was insane. I remember getting so into the side missions I actually forgot about the main plot for several hours. The characters backgrounds were so deep and it wasn't always obvious who the good or bad guys were since their motivations made sense depending on the perspective.

The world was absolutely LITTERED with stuff to do. Not the generic fetch quests but actual content (Gwent anyone?)

When the final credits had rolled, I thought "Okay I'll just quickly finish up the DLC and be done with it".

I ended up spending an additional 50+ hours on the 2 DLC packs which could have easily been sold as standalone games and yet was offered for free ( Shocking in today's microtransaction world).

It is for this reason that Cyberpunk 2077 is a day 1 buy for me. I almost never buy games day 1 because I know its going to be buggy AF and have content left out that will only be included in a GOTY edition down the line but I know the amount of content in the base game will be insane that $60 will be a steal.

The negatives......

Microtransactions. F*** them.

@hrt_rulz01: for me I’d rank them 2, 4, 3, 1

Lost Legacy
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 4
Uncharted 1
Uncharted 3

I was surprised at just how much fun I had with Lost Legacy. The duo of Chloe & Nadine Ross is so badass and I loved the fact the treasure hunting was more personal (Chloe being part Indian & all)

Sunset Overdrive bombed so hard even Sony not keen on a port. Xbox fans don't know how to support good games it seems. Its all Forza, Halo, Gears for them.

This.

Sony is probably going to make a new IP and push ahead with a Spider-Man 2 sequel than try port this over.
