To anybody looking to get the games on this list, you can find them even cheaper if you go through amazon's marketplace or half.com if you don't mind them used. I can just about promise you that the used games online are in tons better condition than the trash they sell in Gamestop.
Alone in the Dark might not be frightening by today's standards, but as someone who played through it a half dozen times, it'll still creep you out. If you can get a copy of it working on a new machine, it's totally worth seeing where RE was inspired from.
you know, they talk about how bad the trees looked, but show me a 3d game that actually has decent looking trees. even Oblivion had the cardboard looking plant life and that's supposed to be the end all be all of 3d graphics right now.
Tell me again why this article was necessary? They act like there's this huge amount of companion content for FF VII and then you look at it and there's 2 games and a movie. And a hint of the likelihood of other stuff coming at some point. Great job, GS.
@Testament: Not totally true - they also gave a perfect 10 to Chrono Cross. Do you want them to give this a 10? It's just a sequel that's faithful to the other games. Ocarina of Time, Chrono Cross and Soul Calibur at least broke some sort of new ground. You're expecting too much just because you like the game.
I'm so sick of you stupid kids complaining about the old E3. You only miss e3 because you weren't there. If you only get to see the half naked girls and the new games from your home it looks like a great time...think about being in the shoes of people that actually have a job to do. If you're having to test as many games there as you can for your website, you want as much time to do so as you can and you want as little delays or as few lines as possible. It's utter BS that these people have to wait or get around about bunch of retarded Gamestop or EB employees that don't even belong there and are using it as their own playground when people are trying to make a living and do this for their career. I worked at EB for awhile and nobody there other than execs have any business going to any of the trade shows. These kids work a cash register and stock shelves - they don't determine how many copies each store receives or what they'll bundle with preorders. A bunch of self indulgent little babies that want to whine when they don't get what they want.
I don't think I want to get achievement points off of games like TMNT or Open Season - I try to avoid those games as it is. This is redundant, but why don't we get rewarded for our points? it obviously shows we spend time with the system and spend money on the games, it'd be great to get a little something in return.
