@smokerob79: $800 would still be a massive price cut from the cost to manufacture. One that neither Sony or MS could make. My homemade mid-tier rig cost about $1000 when I built it last year. It is a lot more powerful than any console and I couldn't even come close to 4k@60fps. Like he said ^^^ we are talking $2000 is basically the minimum for a 4k rig.
@Mirimon78: All I was pointing out is that everything you guys were saying was just as subjective. You don't actually know the incentive of Microsoft or Sony doing anything. Neither Sony or Microsoft have ever done anything purely for the good of gamers. All either of them want to do is line their pockets with green. Its called business. And Sony and Microsoft are both good at what they do or they wouldn't be around.
@kyelo: You do realize that while the PS4 has outsold the X1 by a lot that they have both broken sales records right? So again "poor sales" isn't anymore accurate.
Sounds like a very interesting idea. Not many games actually play off of human behaviors and emotions. Excited to see if they can pull it off in a decent game.
@Salt_AU: Thanks for your comments. I don't really know what your point was other than that you disliked the Witcher. I never defended the Witcher other than to say the developers came through with what they said. All of the nominations had some pretty huge issues regardless of whether you chose to see them or not. I respect that you didn't like the Witcher but apparently a lot of people did.
I think my only major complaint is No Mans Sky. I'm not anticipating it at all. Interesting concept yes, but no story or good gameplay. Or has that been added since I last heard about it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but its basically like lots of random events and randomly seeded planets that you explore? Seems to me like it would get old really fast. Could be incredible someday if they made it more of a survival game like DayZ or Minecraft. I don't know. I'm just not feeling it. Purely my opinion.
