I blame Sony for their craptastic triggers and analog sticks and I blame Microsoft for their equally craptastic d-pad. PS3 is great for fighters, 360 is great for shooters. Everything else depends on the person imo.
Considering all the promises Sony made before the PS3 launched, I'd say the 360. No console game looks better than Gears yet. Uncharted looks good at times, but the enemies and textures are laughable. The only part pf MGS4 that looked better than Gears was the loading screen when Snake was smoking. The actual gameplay looked mediocre. Maybe Killzone 2 can take the crown from Gears.
