I know, working harder is not hip anymore, I suppose. God forbid we struggle a little to help out those that need it most.

what people need the most is to learn how to manage money, not recieve hand outs
You can't manage what you dont have. Visit my neighborhood one of these days, these people have nothing, they live from hand to mouth, trapped in vicious cycles. Their kids need help and support. Maybe they should have managed their non-existent money better, then perhaps their son would get into that awesome school he always dreamed of.
State schools can be paid for with a 20 hour a week job.
That is what my roommate did. He would get up at 5am and go to work return at noon then go to his lectures.
A government check is better than hardwork though right?

What else would 8 employees be doing just standing around and can clearly see that I'm waiting in line with only 2 people?
Helping other customers?
I frequently have to go the returns area to ask specific people questions to resolve other issues for customers. And it would appear I was doing nothing while I waited for the person to become free.
