I haven't been keeping up with my usual debates and quarrels basically because I haven't felt like it. I really don't spend mush time at the computer. However, something else has annoyed me to the point of posting about it.
You all probably know of Joe the plumber who voiced his dislike of Obama's socialist ideology of spreading the wealth face to face with Obama. Joe the plumber is a blue collar person on who agrees with me in that people should not be punished because of success. He struck a chord with the main stream middle clas$. Joe's goal is to buy the company that he works for. I , myself am a blue collar worker I see the obvious logic and danger of unfair taxes and speading the wealth (Obama's own words). Obama has since tried to play this off by saying things like "how many plumbers make over $250,000?". Obama doesn't seem to understand that Joe has theAmerican dream of bettering himself and working for higher goals. When Joeachieves his goal, he will be punished by the socialistic spreading of the wealth. Also, Obama has yet to explain where he got this idea that most small businesses make under $250,000. Obama wishes to raise taxes on incomes of more than $250,000. If you study the Census Buereau, You'll see that most small businesses make over that magic number.
The truth is that if he's going to implement a plan that people over 250 grand personally or small business, Subchapter S filing under a personal return, if he's going to have a tax increase on anybody more than 250 grand, 99% of small business is going to get a huge tax increase. The little guy that Obama claims to want to help is the very guy that's going to get clipped here, because once these taxes go up the first instinct of the small businessman or woman is to survive as a small business.
Anyway, Joe Plumber hurt Obama by showing that normal middle clas$ people do not agree with this punish the successfull pandering and now the media are targetting them as they did Palin. They HATE people that break the left's stereotypes. Clarence Thomas showed that black people could succeed without the help of liberals. He showed that he was not oppressed and that the playing field was level. They tried to destroy him. Palin showed that a normal, working mother could be successful and that she did not need the help of liberals because the playing field is level and they tried to destroy her. Joe who plumbs shows that a middle clas$ person can aspire to become more succesful and breaks the myth of the "bitter clinger". He shows that the democrats' clas$ warfare is nothing more than a method of pandering to get a demographic locked and now they're going after him questioning every single aspect of the man's life that they can. One news anchor called upon the fact that he doesn't go by his first name stating "Joe isn't even his real name!". They're also very concerned with the fact that he has no plumbers' license even though you don't have to have one at his level of work.
The saddest fact of this is that the media and the left are far more concerned about investigating Joe's life and trying to destroy his credibility than they are with the fact that Obama refuses to talk about his past and history in an in -depth manner. They aren't concerned with a Presidential candidate's past. There will be no investigation of Obama's past by the left and this media that is so concerned with an average, blue collar citizen. They care about securing their candidate and agenda and destroying any threat to it.
A normal, middle clas$ man had critism for Obama's ideals and now his life is turned upside down with reporters seeking him and people trying to dig up dirt on him. This is but a glimpse of the scary future under an Obama regime and anyone who dares to question it.
Spreading the wealth? Persuit of those who critisize the ideals of the leader? Socialism is knocking at the door.
