If you played the original gears of war on xbox live then you would appreciate the re-vamped maps more in gears 2 simply because you can become bored with the darker style of the first. Comparing them here is breeding grounds for ps3 fan boys who say the first looks better, yes i'll admit that if you had'nt played gears 1 and looked at THESE maps side by side with gear 2, yes, you probably would prefer some of them from gears 1. This doesn't speak for the rest of the game though, as the other maps new to gears 2 look great, the campaign looks far superior, and you can't simply experience that by looking at these screenshots, you have to play it.

Ikthog, it's easy to say that anyone who thinks halo 3 graphics are amazing are rooting for team xbox, but then it's easy to say that any dedicated sony or nintendo fan who plays the game and is not impressed are kind of kidding themselves that they dont need to play this, it's not that great, graphics are 2.5....so on and so on. You mention gears of war, lost planet and resistance being great games, is that because you have decent PC to play lost planet and gears when it comes out? And of course, you must have a ps3 to play resistance. I'm guessing that's why you mention those games, because you will actually be able to play them, eventually. And about resistance, how does that game look superior to halo 3 in any way? It's a subpar looking game, yes it has some pretty sweet guns and solid gameplay, but in no way was it doing anything new.
