I really like the way Bloodborne wrapped its story, I'm not sure I would like a sequel to that one.

It's pretty much the perfect package as it is, no need for any additions that could tamper with it.

But then again, Sekiro isn't looking great, so maybe they should stick to what they know...

Isn't looking great? We've barely seen anything on the game. Do you mean sounding great?

With al the content being put into this game (old and new), the mechanical changes, some of the other details added (extra damage on 1v1s, as well as slow mo specials), some of the changes and redesigns of characters, plus the fact that we still don't know what Sakurai has up his sleeves in terms of new content (whether it be new modes, characters, stages, single player content, online, etc.), to call it a port is really selling SSB Ultimate and Sakurai short.

Re-using assets or an engine does not make a game a port.

I feel like your intelligence is wasted here. It's clearly not a port but these brain-dead drones won't listen to you either way.

Does it really matter? Sony had no say in these games being exclusive on PS4, that was their developers choice because of the severe advantage the PS4 has over the rest of the market. A lot of these developers are seeing the potential in the PC market, and that the PC market is more willing to purchase their games than they thought.

More people will now be able to play some great games? Sounds great to me.

Looks great, and graphics are so good now, I don't even care about a graphics king. I can't think of any AAA ps4 game where I think "I wish the graphics were a bit better".

If PS5 means we get higher FPS, better AI, bigger worlds, more enemies on screen, I'm down for it. Better graphics? Not bothered, it's more than good enough for me now. Time to focus on gameplay.

I would hate for E3 to dwindle out, I look forward to it a lot every year. I actually miss Nintendo's conferences, I like the wait between announcements to build hype. I think I might be alone in that though..

Nioh is one of the best games I've ever played. IMO it's better than Ninja Gaiden, funny how opinions work eh?

@locopatho: what’s the point in hardware if there is limited software for it?

Who are you to say the software is limited? I have bought as many games for my Switch since it released as my PC/PS4.

No, it's not. Even games like Yakuza that are considered niche, sell quite a few hundred thousand and still making enough profit to continue making sequels of a high quality. There are plenty of franchises churning out sequels on or under a few hundred thousand sales. Two million is in no shape or form, niche.

I don't know much about Yakuza but for AAA (budget, not scores) console games, they pretty much need to be selling millions.

OK I'll admit once we get into "millions" rather than "thousands", it's probably wrong to call it niche. But it clearly is "more niche" than the many mainstream AAA titles that sell many millions despite being of much lower quality than Nioh. Genres like open world and FPS are massively more popular than the Souls style, despite it's awesome quality.

I get what you're saying, but yeah niche was the wrong word, it's just not as popular. Despite the quality of both Nioh and the Souls games, I understand why they don't reach the same heights as casualised games like Watch Dogs, they are simply much more difficult and complex.

But yeah I agree, from a designers point of view, I think they are much better quality games. Although I am very happy with the sales, if I was asked to project the sales heights of a game like Dark Souls, I would have been seriously impressed if it broke 1m. Who had ever thought it'd break 3m? There's a lot more smart people out there than I imagined!

Funny when you hear these are niche games.

Well, these days 2 million pretty much is still niche. Something like Watch Dogs (a game I think we can all agree is worse than Nioh) sold 10 mil.

Good news the devs appear happy though, new IPs and high quality deserve to be rewarded!

It beats any From Software game Imo. Combat is so much better. The games are so similar It's hard not to lump then together but Nioh stands above Imo.

The combat is great, but I hated the random loot. From Software games encourage and reward exploration, Nioh not so much.

The level design wasn't as good, and the enemy variety was severely lacking. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the game immensely and if they manage to fix those flaws, Nioh 2 is going to be fantastic.

@Kusimeka: What Zelda elements did they remove from the second game? If anything it added more Zelda.

It's been years since I played, but I believe it was the dungeon layouts and general method of how you progress through the game.

Darksiders 1 had a dungeon, puzzles, an item in each one and a boss at the end. I don't remember the 2nd being like that, it was more areas you just go through like a GoW title. The level design just wasn't as good IMO, and the abundance of loot just felt out of place.

I just remember not liking it and being very let down, finished the 1st one three times and couldn't finish the 2nd one even once.
