Are you willing to play outdated games? What's your cutoff in terms of age? Icewind Dale 2 was great, but it's probably outdated by today's standards.F1_2004

well, i still think that most rpgs dont hold a candle to baldurs gate 2, and would rate it higher than both mass effect and the witcher by todays standards.

Ok, im in the mood for a new PC game, but im not sure what. the problem is, i like RPGs and action adventure kind of games, which there arent that many of on PC, at least not quality ones that i havent already played.

So ive played all the heavy hitters like BG 1 and 2, fallout 1 and 2, kotor, NWN 1 and 2, WoW, planescape: torment, etc, but i cant seem to find anything appealing right now, besides icewind dale 2 perhaps.

im also interested in the strategy/build a community genre. games like civilization and sim city are great, but i cant seem to find anything else like them. Im fine with real time strategy war games as long as they are heavy on the bits where you actually build things, manage your people, the economy, forge alliances, etc.

any recommendations?

[QUOTE="AvIdGaMeR444"]

Yeah...GTA 4 will end the Wii fad...

Just like Oblivion did.

Just like Halo 3 did.

Just like CoD 4 did.

Just like Uncharted did.

Just like Lair did.

Just like Assassin's Creed did.

Just like Mass Effect did.

Just like BioShock did.

Only this game has the power.

[QUOTE="Krudus"]well, the 360 has a slight edge in graphics, we saw that in the last batch of screens taken from the GT comparison. it is however, minimal.SolidTy

In contrast, 1up reported the 360 version has "Tearing" and doesn't look as nice.

GT also confirmed they don't use HDMI with either console. I don't trust screens anyways, I want to see what GI, IGN, EGM, and GS say.

ah i see. well then, i guess we'll have to wait. either way, i dont think the experience will be any different on respective console, so at this point that argument would only matter to 360- and ps3 fans
