How is the performance? I have about the equivalent of a 5770 with I5-430m at 3.2 GHz.

[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]

wait what? he has an i7 and 12 gigs of RAM with 2 580s in SLI :?

what are you talking about?

cain006

He has a laptop, 580m =/= 580 and his i7 is mobile. It's a really amazing laptop, but there's games he can't run maxed out right now.

So he has a mobile CPU at 4GHz? With a desktop motherboard? on a laptop? Are you sure you're talking about the right person?

That's odd. I use a wired xBox 360 controller with all default settings, I never had to tweak anything to make it work.

Sometimes there's advanced settings in the menus, maybe see if one of those needs to be tweaked?

I use the MSI GX740... don't know what your MSI's problem was, this one is very capable.

MSI cards tend to overclock on the core very well. For example, my 5870 is capable of 920/1085 clocks, compared to base of 700/1000. That's a lot more than some of the other GPUs.

If you want the very best performance though, get the M18X from Alienware with 2x6990M.

I agree with Two Worlds 2. It's the most well optimized and graphically appealing game I've ever played. The graphics are second to none.

No it won't. That's not a correctly spec'ed m17x.

6870M is really gimped, even worse than the previous generation 5870M. In fact, I'm not even sure AW offers the 6870M... are you sure it's not the 6970M?

6870 is mid-range at best and will give you trouible with most high-end games especially at 1080P.
