I think it was to be expected, because if microsoft really wanted to sell hd dvd they would have made the hd-dvd drive standard in the console instead of as an add on. As for blu ray the players are getting cheaper, but my main problem with it is that it holds 50 gigs. Thats a lot of information to load over a relatively short period of time. That and emerging movie and television shows are being more and more available for download at various places like xbox live. And people say that blu ray has won but it still has to fight standard dvd whose prices are drasticly cheaper than blu ray. The only thing that will really set me over to blu would be them getting transformers and the bourne series etc. The next year should be interesting to say the least.
It wasn't as good as the first two but I still liked it. As for most over-hyped game of all time I would say that there have been way worse games that have been hyped uped in the past (FF12 for instance). For me overhyped means that it was told by the developer/publisher that it would be a great game and sadly it turns out to be a big steaming pile.
I noticed that too. One day I was playing and knew I missed some notes and yet I still got credit for them. GH3 was made more forgiving I guess so more people would buy it and not get as frustrated playing it.
