One of my roommates has a fat PS3, but it's not PS2 BC. It's a sexy beast indeed. Makes me wish I had 599 US Dollars to cough up for the original 60GB version. :(
If you've never played the Jak series, then you are really missing out. It's a great platforming series, especially the first game. For the time it appeared on the PS2, it took platforming to a whole new level.
I really hope gaming never goes fully digital, because I honestly like having a physical copy handy. Not to mention, I like having a collection to display! And those prices are very ridiculous!
If I decide to pick up my PSP, I'm mainly playing Resistance: Retribution, Dissida 012 Final Fantasy, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, and Tales of Rebirth. Those are the only PSP games I haven't beaten in my collection. I also have Xenogears and Vagrant Story on my PSP. I recently downloaded them to my PS3, but since I'd have to start over, I just keep playing them on my PSP.
2013 is definitely going to be a great year for gamers. The PS3 has some blockbuster titles coming and more information on the next PlayStation should come to light. But one thing we have to give Sony credit for is that they will support a system for a long time. Even when the PS3 released, there were still games being released for the PS2. I'm sure it's going to be the same way whenever the next PlayStation is announced.
I honestly don't think Sony needs to make a new PS3 model because the current slim models are fine and not too expensive. $250 for a Slim 160 PS3 is still a good deal, IMO.
I picked up Tales of Graces f over this, but I still do want Final Fantasy XIII-2 because I enjoyed the first game. I think if you don't care about getting the TRUE ending and just want to finish the game, then it's a pretty short campaign. I think it was Square's intention from the beginning of development to have DLC planned to extend the life of the game.
