The real problem is with AAA games themselves, not with the Vita. The Vita would have tons of AAA games if the budgets for the games didn't explode exponentially since the best generation of gaming consoles (PS2, XBOX, NGC). The budget for a AAA game back then was a fraction of what they are today and there were more companies making games and more games for each system. There was actually "B" video games and some of them were awesome. Now, thanks to $300 million dollar video games development budgets, they don't exist anymore, its harder/ near impossible to make a AAA title without major support or backing/ insane skillz, less games are made each year and not nearly as fun as they were. What happened to new and original IPs?? Everything these days is a port or remake and nothing new or original is really being made unless its indy... The gaming industry is about to implode on itself the same as America is about to.... The Haves end up having more and more and the Have-Not get less and less. Without innovation, new original IPs, and lower AAA game budgets the gaming industry is going to kill itself.
@canuckbiker actually we didn't feel the need to get involved with your fucking problems, until they became ours, once Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. After that we kicked ass and took names. Just remember America has the most and biggest nukes on the planet and we're also the only country to use'em.
@digishah nope, x and y stand for geometric grids. Wait till the 3rd game in this generation comes out, cuz they'll use the name Pokemon Z. The Z grid is used to show depth and thusly makes things 3-dimensional, and seeing this is on a 3DS... well now it makes more sense.
@GSGuy321 Just curious as to what is crap about a machine built solely to play video games? Computers are more powerful because they can do more than just play games.
@Bartrentenaar except you're forgetting the fact, again fact, GameBoy was awesome and this is a cheap version of something they already make and that is already on the market. If they made this with more power, dual sticks, bigger higher resolutions screens, and bigger buttons, but called it something like Gameboy Squared, that would be awesome.
@Sorciere_basic not adding bigger higher resolution screens with bigger buttons and a second circle pad also a bad idea. This should be a bigger, non-folding, dual circle pad, non-3d, great battery life, part-tablet part 3DS game system.
By part tablet I mean actual tablet features like internet browsing, movies from streaming, internet radio/ soundcloud, chat apps, apps in general. Then this would be all Nintendo needs to make and their back in business with the big leaguers.
