[QUOTE="parkurtommo"][QUOTE="Mr_Cumberdale"]Well to be honest, GTA IV wasn't very 'big'. GTA: SA had so much more locations to visit.eboyishere

RDR brah

RDR didn't have cars and the horses couldn't do 0 to 200 in 8 seconds.

ALso GTA4 was overrated, I went back recently to the online mode for it and while it is fun, the mechanics are so rough around the edges that I couldn't play without getting pissed off.

RDR was also the defininition of plain empty spaces.

Shooter/platformer.

nameless12345

Then What's Megaman X7? A 3D platformer? Because X8 is classified as a Platformer. So to you X8 is a Action Platformer, but 3D becauses it uses 3D polygons but not a 3D platformer. So then that would mean you think X7 is 2D platformer.

I use the term "3D platformer" because it's associated with "open world".

Technically, a 3D platformer is any platformer that uses 3D graphics. As simple as that.

So what would thou label X7 and X8 since they are both 3D in a "technical" sense?

Wii pretty much sucks. There isn't anything to remember about it.

Shinobishyguy
except y'know the best platformers and jrpg this gen But who cares about those games right

Is that why on Gamespot, when i click sort but rating the Wii only has 3 high rated platformers compared to the 360's 8 and the Ps3's 4? The PC even has 2, 1 away from the Wii, and that system lacks platformers.

No they didn't...

HyperWarlock

They said bigger, and more interaction with a deep immersing story on several interviews.

They didn't say it was their biggest open world game to date though.

They said it was bigger so you can have more interaction with NPC's and explore more realisticly with less borders and said "San Andreas lacked this, and now we will make it triple the world to immerse you with an in depth story added in as well."

Great console, just wish the only company supporting the console (Nintendo) didn't drop support so fast in order to make everyone buy the next console. The wii could have had a few more good years left but now the only thing I play on it is super Mario bros 3.Ghost120x
They dropped support years before the Wii U.

The bigger it is, the emptier it becomes. Don't repeat San Andreas again!

OpenHat
I actually enjoyed that parts of the map were empty, just made the game feel less crowded without having to accidentally killing people and having to run away. That annoyed me in GTA4, I'd be rallying around in a 4x4 just having pointless fun driving off cliffs and flying over ramps and kill a few people and have to run away.

\ Real Life California has even more empty areas, thy do not see how that is a problem all of a sudden

Of course. As is Klonoa. 3D = graphics technique, not gameplay style.

nameless12345

So then what would you call games like Spyro then?

3D platformer.

Then What's Megaman X8?

3D. If it has polygon 3D graphics then it's 3D. Gameplay style does not matter.
