As someone who NEVER believed that Microsoft had any business in the gaming industry, this whole ordeal just validates that opinion fully. I mean over the years, Microsofts systems have gained popularity on the most basic and stupid games ever.....FPS. They have their place don't get me wrong, but that is literally 85% of Microsoft's base. When was the last time a Microsoft game that wasn't a FPS was nominated (seriously, not as an aside) for game of the year. or was called "innovatie" or "immersive"?
maybe Fable?......while Sony has proven time and time again to be a REAL gamers console, with innovations like Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 souls, and immense immersive games like Last of US, God of War and Uncharted.
moving forward.......what has Microsoft really done to earn a spot at the table of gamers who like deep, immersive games in varied genres? not much
It's almost silly to talk down to Microsoft, they have exposed that they don't belong here. There is a reason the PS3 caught them in sales worldwide after coming out later and costing $300 more (at time of release). Gamers have spoken.
this isn't a war, this is the final gasps and death rattle of a company who flat out has no business at the table with Nintendo, Sega, Atari and Sony.
