@kvallyx: dude, it’s actually a Series X, it just doesn’t work. There’s cut outs for vents because it’s still a Series X. Read what Microsoft wrote:

7. PRIZES

The following prizes will be awarded:

One (1) Grand Prize. A Prize Package consisting of the following items:

A customized Xbox Series X console with Diablo IV artwork (non-functional, to be used as an art-piece). Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $499.99 USD.

A custom stand with Diablo IV artwork that the customized Xbox Series X console will be housed upon. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $310.00 USD.

A standard Xbox Series X console. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $499.99 USD.

This console includes a power adaptor where the voltage functions in North America and EMEA. Winners outside of these regions must separately acquire the appropriate power cord for their specific country/region.

@kvallyx: Either the Microsoft terms and conditions of this contest are incorrect or you are reading them in a bizarre way. Nothing is said about this being some kind of cover for a functional Series X. Its a complete piece of art with a stand. It sits in the stand.

@kvallyx: They literally copied that from Microsoft’s fine print. It’s fine.

Very interesting to see such a wide array of takes on the game. Still need to fire it up.

@gatsbythepig: in all likelihood it means more reality style content. If not what is currently thought of when one hears “reality tv”, it’ll be stuff that can be made in a similar manner with a like process. I imagine all the traditional linear studios will start learning (more heavily - they certainly already do learn from them) from platforms like YouTube to create content.

It won’t even really be entirely novel either. Stuff like America’s Funniest Home Videos and Cops and plenty of other cheap daytime tv content were web media style content before the web and social platforms on said web.

@xboxdrider: There used to be a time when it was either a much more satisfying fully featured football simulation (not just an online multiplayer game) or the NFL license wasn’t exclusive so there were competitors on the market. It was a better time.

@STARS31RPD: probably isn’t a choice a GS editor can make. Someone is putting out a review for it here. It’s predictable traffic.

@dmblum1799: to be fair, there’s still quite a lot of human dramas like those being made today. It’s just that with precious few exceptions - like Oppenheimer, The Joker - they aren’t big box office hits. Most of them are much smaller releases.

And what happens every year when a lot of the fine films in this milieu get enough buzz? The wide audience writ large reaction is a largely a big pejorative yawn - “I’ve never heard of any of these movies!”. If the wide audience taste hadn’t shifted stuff like Banshees of Inisherin would approach the popularity and ubiquitousness of the excellent films you listed. So many people deselect for them these days and decry such movies for being slow and pretentious or heavy handed. I could go on.
