Why are people against having a backwards compatibility add-on? I can understand that you don't want to have it built in because it would increase the price of the console but why do people care if some of us want the option available to us? I don't mind paying for it! Also before anyone says "Keep your PS3" what makes you think I want 2 or 3 Sony consoles hooked up to my TV? Especially when I already have other consoles hooked up to my TV? Also, what makes you think the PS3 is built to last? It's not.

I am not getting rid of my PS3 but it won't last for years to come. I am already on my second PS3 and I know some people that got the YLOD. The point I am trying to make is the PS3 is not built to last. Sure the PS3 generally lasts longer than the Xbox 360 but the PS3 is not reliable either.

Don't get me wrong. I want to buy the PS4 regardless if it's backwards compatible or not and I am excited for the PS4 and playing new games but why do you people care if some of us want backwards compatibility?

@shingui5 @edinsaw Well the PS3 is not built to last. I still want a PS4 even if it's not backwards compatible, but still...

Sony seems to want to push cloud gaming but don't they realize that not everyone has good internet connection?

How come we still never got Jak 4? I would rather have another develop do it because Naughty Dog would screw it up and make it all "realistic" like they were about to.

@S4vagecabbage @Jak-25 Well having an add-on can keep the costs of the PS4 low. I also want to see what they will offer with the PS4. I waited too long! lol

@aryanbrar I would not mind paying a little extra for backwards compatibility. I mean I spent $500 dollars on my 60 GB PS3 because I wanted backwards compatibility although it did break. What I want to see for the PS4 is add on for the PS4 to enable backwards compatibility because doing it this way keeps cost of the PS4 low and those who want it can pay extra for it. The option should be there. I also want to see better reliability with the PS4.

What I want is backwards compatibility with PS3 and if possible PS2 games well. They should release an add-on to enable backwards compatibility. I want to see more information on Final Fantasy Versus XIII and I want Jak 4!

Remind me again why Sony can't just release an add-on?

@WolfGrey @crunchb3rry it has nothing to do with how well you take care of it. The PS3's generally break because they are forced to use lead free solders. Backwards compatibility ensures you have a way to play your older games without having to buy a new one.
