@cogadh @Double-Ego They did say that, but they also said that they could have people re-download those digital downloads on Gaikai for free if they wanted to, so the question: Will they? lol
I already have a PS3! The PS3 is not built to last and I am already on my second one. Plus, I want one device that can play all of my PlayStation console games. you do get the concept of backwards compatibility, right?
People here keep stating the obvious, that the reason why the PS4 is not backwards compatible is because of the different architecture. But why can't they release an optional add-on?
@RealXBoxKiller @Jak-25 Exactly! Not everyone has good internet which is why I don't think Gaiki is a proper solution to backwards compatibility. An Add-on is the best method in my opinion.
How come Sony can't just release an add-on to fix this problem? PS3's don't last forever and why would you want 2 or 3 consoles hooked up? Plus I am sure you need good internet connection for Gaiki. Add-on with the PS3 CPU and GPU seems to be like the best method if you ask me.
That's why I think Sony should release an add-on to make those games work or at least allow you to stream them on Gaikai without having to re-buy them but of course, I know that won't happen...
